I asked a question like this previously and a lot of the aswers side-stepped the main issue. So...I'll ask it again in a real short consice question so as to get some more pertinent answers.

If Christians followed the same kind of peaceful doctrine that the Quran teaches, wouldn't the crusades have been right in God's eyes.

Quran doctrine differs depending on who you talk to, as it is with all other religions.

Yes. Im taking it you use the word "peaceful" sarcastically.

Of course, the Crusades were merely a defensive rally against Islamic invasion...in fact, the Islamic invaders made it as far as the gates of Vienna...twice...and were repelled.
