So far only christians and atheisits answered you. Now its my turn. In the greek world the gods were much like people on earth with there own faults and personality conflicts. They did use people on earth (according to greek mythology) to meet there own ends. I dont follow these gods but they didn't really concern them selves with human flaws because of there own. The christian god on the other hand does because humans are his children (although im not sure how a male gives birth) He sees us as his flesh and blood thus he tries to raise his children (the bible being the tool he uses to do this) to be like he is, just as your own parents try to raise you.
I follow wicca which is a god/goddess relationship. the reason the goddess cares so much for us is because we are her protectors for she is the earth mother. The god is also a symbol of nature and of the woods. without those who are still willing to speak up for mother earth who then will protect her from the man made hell we put her through. This is why the gods care.

In the Unlikely event that you don't know this: GOD MADE US, similar to us making our children. SO OF COURSE GOD CARES FOR US - AS WE CARE FOR OUR CHILDREN.
You are not expecting women to reproduce with you - if you can't figure out how important this simple concept is.
Obviously you know this also, but even being as smart as you are, GOD loves us - just something you can't grasp. Interesting. Are you surprised at good samaritans also? People caring for each other - with no motive for profit? No angle?
People may not care about ants - but dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, camels, elephants - these all are worried about by humans good behavior vs bad behavior - because these animals have personalities similar to us. (Many more I could think of these off the top of my head. - Koi fish? Dolphins, and orcas (these are entertainers but still. The Apes - man how'd I forget them?)

What you mean is possible, GOD could have made the earth for the moss and trees; and we showed up, but you don't believe that either.
We are not insignificant, because we are loved by GOD.

Hey. Don't disregard ants. Those little suckers are plotting to take over the world. They are so organised and single-minded. Only the actions of a few of us brave souls in trying to bring their true plans out into the light of day are keeping the world safe for democracy (and the USA).

But the thing is, that we are peopl or humans like Jesus was. Was Jesus ever an ant? But also God loves us mor and He also tlaks about us not ants. We are more important to Him than anything. He even says that. He says that He loves us more than His angels. He even made us into the image of Himself. Why wouldn't He care?
