If heaven exists, and a person grows up not being told what is right and is wrong, and this person constantly commits sin, is it unfair that this person goes to hell when they weren't even aware of it existing?

Could be but that is not our decision.

Your question has an innocent being corrupted by evil. The question you are failing to ask is does God play a role in this equation and most likely God does. Lot lived in Sodom and yet he did not become evil, or so the story goes. Moses was raised by the Egyptians and yet he heeded God's call, or so the story goes. You can see where this is going. God can reach the innocent even in the midst of evil.

Another thing is God makes those judgments. God could have sent the Devil to Oblivion never to be known but instead He sent him to Hell. You can try and figure out that one out.

The point is that our perspective of good and evil may skewed. We could be wrong.

I think that it is unfair, on the grounds that the person had no idea of such theory/philosophy.

NOW! A person knows the difference of a right choice or wrong choice.
AND! Sin has many characteristics, many paths, some worse than others. Others may think it to be sin, while others do not depending on the religion/faith and circumstances.
I dont believe in heaven or hell as being out there, but as that is what we make for ourselves.

I also think that experience shows the person right from wrong, so there really isnt a true excuse for not knowing diferently, unless you have such intent on causing harm, and are malicious by nature. THEN you do deserve to be in your hell and it isnt unfair.

No you would not ascend to heaven each human is born with sin therefore even if you lived your life without ever committing a sin you would still go to hell because of the inherited sin.

Thats why we are rtying to spread His Gospel so that everyone knows. Then the ones that choose to ignore it will be the ones that God will send to Hell. God says somewhere in one of the Gospels (matthew, mark luke john) or revelation that Jesus might come when the whole world knows about Him. And the ones that choose to follow Him are going to heaven but the ones that don't are going to hell. God doesn't send ppl to hell cuz he hates them but becuase he can't live with ppl who don't want to be with Him. It's like how cna u lvie with someon who u really dislike? U would find a way to get them away from u. So thats what God is doing.

everybody has a conscience, 'God's voice within us', to constantly remind us what the truth is. and for us to seek it until we are certain we are on the right path.

i just cannot imagine someone growing up not knowing what is right and what is wrong. how pathetic. that person must be going in and out of jail in a regular basis.

respecting the rights of others is already knowing what is right. and violating them is already knowing what is wrong.

living a life worthy of eternal reward is not complicated, it's just difficult.

Like in what was your last question that I answer, God knows all things, that's why God communicates in so many ways, hinting, trying to either change ur path, he's helping because God knows we all have the ability to change and be transformed into a new person, a change of heart. but God's wants you to figure it out, he wants you to make some steps his way, even if it's baby steps. God is basically planting seed through his communications, to see if you'll take, bloom and grow.

As a child you can be kept from the truth, but you are old enough to understand on your own now.

[Rom 1:20] Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse;

The person will not go to hell. Part of my belief system is that God provides opportunities in some way for others to know "Him". that may or may not be in the form of a religion as we know it.
God loves people too much to be that legalistic.

The Bible says that every person who is old enough to understand will be told the Gospel. Everyone will have a chance to make a choice. Children who are not old enough to understand, will not be held accountable.

When on the cross, Jesus said "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." But when you become aware of what you are doing, you should attempt to turn away from it. You are held accountable once you become aware of the consequences of sin.
