Of course I would. Religion has nothing to do with it. If they have the same political views as me, I'd vote for them.

I think that most muslims are good people and that they mean well. However, there are those who have given Islam, and hence muslims, a bad name .
Therefore, I need to see more from muslims before I can fully trust them. I would like to see the well-meaning muslims taking a firm stance and condemning those ill-intentioned muslims. This would give me the confidence to vote for a good muslim knowing that s/he will care for all people equally and not have a bias towards muslims.
Unfortunately, what we have today is a situation where ill-intentioned muslims are doing a lot of horrible things in the name of Allah while the good muslims turn a blind eye and remain silent. Is their silence because they support these horrible acts? I would ike to think not. But surely, how can they remain silent and then expect to be taken seriously as leaders. Maybe they are silent because they are afraid of the repercussions that may follow if they speak up. If that it so, then they are weak and would not make good leaders. However, if that is not the case, then their silence is sending the wrong message - a message that says that they support the atrocities that are committed in the name of Allah.
I need to see some action from the community of well-intentioned muslims before I can agree to vote for them. They must speak up with the rest of us - or be counted with the perpetrators of terror.
That said, I hasten to add that the world nations must, throughh the UN act quickly to ensure that justice is administed for all in the middle east. We are all a part of humanity and deserve justice. It is the right of every man, woman and child!!

Absolutely! The US Constitution is 100% in line with Islam, so why not?
Las Vegas Steve, I'm thinking of running for public office! I already work for the government, but in a non-elected position. We are taking over "your" country! Mwaahahahahahahaha!

Absolutely
I see people say stuff about bringing their religion into office. Aparently, that can happen with any religion.
The last religion to take office has cost over 100,000 lives now and says Jesus justified it. T_T Sadly, they have the most media attention in the US but it doesn't mean they actually represent all of the religions in the US including all Christians.
I would vote for any person if their policies involved equal access and enforcement of human rights.

you guys are using one stick to beat the whole boat of people...
not all muslims are bad... infact... less than 1% of the muslims in the world are extremists. the rest lead normal lives like us and are good people.
if he is fair and not corrupted and does things like he promise to do. I'd vote for him on his own rights. not because of his religion. that's just biase if you do that.

I saw that in the news. Personally, I vote for a person based upon their record, their integrity and if their base supports what I believe to be best.

If I could count on him or her to know how to keep church, or in their case mosque, separate from state, yes, they would have my vote.
