How did the people know to do this before science could explain it.
If you study any neuroscience at all, there are definitive results on what happens in the brain when one meditates. The ELF frequencies measured and EEG readings show repetitive results on those who try to achive states of altered awareness.
Well...can you elaborate or try to dispute this when science is saying it is real.
Got Pride?

For real, GWB, Cheney, and Pat Robeson have said worse things about Islam that was from their own tounges this century. Is seems like peace is far from their agendas. I don't see the Hindu getting all into an uproar over McDonalds in India. Geez, what's next?

but when a spiritual persons learns about it, they are label new age?
Why would a person that seeks to undertsand science for spiritual reasons be any less credible than one that does it for just plain knowledge.
Knowledge IS spiritual for some people.

understand? The non Christians go on about "proof" of God, when that isn't the point. But even the things they are supposed to "know" about like evolution -- noone says we evolved from monkeys -- or brainwashing -- who among us was locked in a room until we professed our acquiescence -- they don't seem to really understand. It is sad that there are so many attention-needers when so much good could be done on this sort of board.
Whether you choose to come to Jesus or not, some mutual understanding would be better than just baiting each other.

On news it said that over 50% of americans cheat. I was never in favor of poligamy. But Are not we acting hypocriticly by being surprised at arab countries. I think those bastards are crazy who have abused it but not all muslims. But we as american are no different. very small percentage of arabs cheat because there are no unmarried women around much. Us for example over 50%. We do the same thing but try to hide it, are we different or not?
please honest answers, ignorance take it somewhere else.

ok ok i know these questions are asked all the time, but i don't get to read all them so i ask for myself.(a good friend of mine is christian and he and i often debate these things but i wanted outsider point of views)

essentially man is supossed to have free will, correct? but god is also supposed to know all. so by this equation, god would already know if someone were going to do something bad. in which case the person wouldn't get their gold star for the day. i'm not grasping how it's free will. it just kind of seems like it should say "you have free will, as long as it's my will, otherwise you'll be punished." explain that to me please.

Why do people claim to be ignorant when asked about their beliefs?

Are they ignorant of their own beliefs?

Or, are they just using a word they heard other people use that sounds cool?

I am an Atheist, and I do.

Imagine, a world without bible thumpers? what greater gift could this non-existent God give humanity than relieving the world of his followers?

Yahoo just hit me with a violation for my previous question about an article in this week's Time magazine titled "Does God Want You To Be Rich?" becuase it wasn't a question...

I responded to them to explain the violation since the details ending with the comment, What are your opinions?

In your experience am I wasting my time with this, will they respond and reinstate the question and points?
