As a former Presbyterian, I can answer this.
We are a tolerant religion, as long as you believe four basic things:
1. God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.
2. Jesus, His Son, died on the cross for our sins.
3. You must believe in the Trinity.
4. The Bible is a metaphorical book.
That is all. Oh, and we believe in predestination, or the mapping out of life before birth.
Hope this helped!

Presbyterians believe all fundamental Christian believes except for a portion of beliefs that is called "Calvinism". The basic idea behind Calvinism is that God responds purely out of his will and not out of the interaction of people or groups of people with him. Another way to put it is that God has already made up his mind about every little detail of life on earth.

I know many years ago they was on fire for God. They done lots of work in the mission field, but today only thing I can think of that they believe in is they believe in women preachers/pastors. Which is not scriptual.
