On news it said that over 50% of americans cheat. I was never in favor of poligamy. But Are not we acting hypocriticly by being surprised at arab countries. I think those bastards are crazy who have abused it but not all muslims. But we as american are no different. very small percentage of arabs cheat because there are no unmarried women around much. Us for example over 50%. We do the same thing but try to hide it, are we different or not?
please honest answers, ignorance take it somewhere else.

It's a question of morality and one's interpretation of it. Most western nations do not hold the moral high ground. That's about the only positive thing I can say about Arab countries.

You believe the news? They are spinners often- Arab women don't dare cheat- or off with their head! Cheating is so wrong- In so many cultures it is more acceptable for men to cheat- there is a double standard- UGh! It is still so wrong- Arab men cheat- go to Vegas, drink and gamble- drinking and cheating- a no no in islam- and lying is a no no- but not if it is to defend islam- so they can make all the promises for peace they want- and break them- too bad=or sign treaties- and break- so sad- Everybody has blown it somewhere- but not made it a life style- D

Well no human is perfect, you can't judge the person solely based on what thier religion practice is.
Arab or no arab, there is no difference. Yes, cheating is a sin, but sometimes one can't control thier urges. Part of being a human i guess.
I'm an arab muslim too, but i can't judge because i haven't cheated.
We are one, just with different beliefs.
This is a personal opinion.

Most people claim to support one standard or set of rules, but don't actually follow it. It's not so much being hypocritical, which is where they knowingly hold one standard for everyone else and a different (lesser) standard for them.

For most people, it is becuase most of them don't even realize that they are breaking their own rules. They don't pay attention to their lives, and don't do the kind of rigid self-analysis that is required to actually keep track of what they are doing and why.

So, they go blithely on with their lives, and hold out a standard of conduct, but never stop to check if they are really following it.

Christians can decide to be different. As for those Christians that cheated, I would have to question whether they really are interested in a solid relationship with God.

there system is diffrent than ours in that they make thier girls marry earlier than Americans, many dont have a choice.
They also alow men to marry up to four women( more if they can afford it), so of course their is morepolygamy because thier society has no problem with it.
