The correct answer should be no. The reason this is because Jesus was God's son, (while at the same time being God, confusing, no?) and at the same time being his own person. God is not physical or made of flesh while Jesus was at one point. So no, they should not be used interchangeably, even if some Christians do.

much of the time. This is because Jesus is God. Jesus is the man that was born when God became a human being. God was born into a stable in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, but the Son had always existed throught Eternity Past with the Father and the Holy Spirit (the other two persons of the Godhead - God exists in the form of one God who is manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit).

so yes, Jesus is God.

Not generally, but according to the scriptures not only are they interchangeable but one could add the Holy Spirit. Because when the earth was formed the Spirit moved on the face of the earth; therefore the Holy Spirit was with God and was God as was Jesus.

John 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.

Philippians 2:5 For let this mind be in you which [was] also in Christ Jesus; [6] who, subsisting in the form of God, did not esteem it an object of rapine to be on an equality with God;

Deu 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah is the Christmas verse right. The verse is talking about who? Who was born on Christmas? JESUS. The verse says JESUS is the mighty God and the everlasting Father. Jesus is God, Jesus is the Father.Do you know whose spirit the Holy Ghost is? You know God is a spirit,right? Then if God came to earth in the flesh as Jesus (who says Himself "I and my father are one") then the Holy Spirit is the spirit of Jesus Christ, who is God. I, myself, can be someone's son,someone's father, and someone's friend but my NAME is Chris! The name of the Father,The son and the Holy Ghost is JESUS.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

In this verse look at the word name. It does say NAME. Common grammar teaches us that if we are speaking of more than one being we say NAMES,but here it say NAME(singular) I hope you now know what the name of the Father,Son and Holy Ghost is. God bless you. If you need anything further e-mail me.

Try looking up teachings about the trinity. Most Christians accept that God is 3 in one or Trinity, God the Father (God), God the Son (Jesus) and God the Spirit (Holy Spirit/Ghost).

Right, that cleared the confusion! Generally God refers to, well, God in all parts of the trinity (like "man" refers to both men and women in some cases like "the race of man" or mankind); Jesus refers to the part that took human form --- (No theological inaccuracies intended in that last part).

Some people do and let me tell u, thats WRONG!!!! God and Jesus are very different people. God is his father. For example, in Mathew chapter 4 verse 10 when satan is tempting him he tells him" Go away satan because it is written: it is Jehova your God you must worship and it is to him alone you must render sacred service". So u see God and Jesus are not the same person.
