i just cant understand how using a random book (the bible), your faith, and the fact that JC is your lord/savior is gonna justify Christianity. stop using those things to show me and show me something else.

that seems to be creeping into some Church of England Services.
I bet it's American in origin - which is I suppose a touch ironic. I attended a service on the Isle of Wight and they all began giving each other the peace. I could feel that the look of horror that must have been on my face as they attempted ritually to shake my hand was a good deterrent to all but the most determined of the peace givers.

We all know that there are scientific findings that contradict the literal word of the Bible. We also know that there are Christians out there that just ignore anything contradictory that science has to say.

I am interested in hearing from Christians who do not reject science, and how they do not let this get in the way of God. Do you take the entire Bible as symbolism? Do you only take those parts described differently by science as symbolism, and the rest literally? How do you respond to accusations that you are not a true Christian for trusting in what science has to offer? Is there anything that you think is wrong with, or reject, from either science or organized Christianity?

Please no lectures on either the Biblical or scientific creed; I am already very familiar with both. This is something I am genuinely curious about: serious and thoughtful answers only.

When one dies and goes to heaven, it is said that they will live the rest of their days in happiness with no more pain and suffering to deal with. FOREVER.

Well, forever is a very long time.

Ok. First of all, neither God nor Jesus was happy all the time. Obviously angels aren't happy all the time either or a third of the population of heaven wouldn't have wanted to revolt against the guy. Lucifer obviously wasn't happy there. There are many people who love people who aren't Christians and therefore would spend the rest of eternity without this person that obviously brings them (but not God) joy.

So I ask you. Is it really possible for Christians that die to be ETERNALLY happy in heaven without a care or an idea of pain?

PS. If Pain and Suffering are the things that really make us appreciate joy and happiness, would those emotions really mean anything to us if we could have them all the time and never lacked them???

Do you ever question your beliefs? Have you looked for "answers" in sources other than your Bible, your church, or your parents?

Thanks, in advance, for your responses.

153. The People of the Scripture ask of thee that thou shouldst cause an (actual) Book to descend upon them from
heaven. They asked a greater thing of Moses aforetime, for they said: Show us Allah plainly. The storm of lightning
seized them for their wickedness. Then (even after that) they chose the calf (for worship) after clear proofs (of Allah's
Sovereignty) had come unto them. And We forgave them that! And We bestowed on Moses evident authority.
154. And We caused the Mount to tower above them at (the taking of) their covenant: and We bade them: Enter the
gate, prostrate! and we bade them : Transgress not the Sabbath! and We took from them a firm covenant.
155. Then because of their breaking of their covenant, and their disbelieving in the revelations of Allah, and their
slaying of the Prophets wrongfully, and their saying: Our hearts are hardened Nay, but Allah hath set a seal upon them
for their disbelief, so that they believe not save a few
156. And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny;
157. And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger They slew him not nor
crucified, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no
knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture ; they slew him not for certain,
158. But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, wise.
159. There is not one of the People of the Scripture but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of
Resurrection he will be a witness against them
160. Because of the wrongdoing of the Jews We forbade them good things which were (before) made lawful unto them,
and because of their much hindering from Allah's way,
161. And of their taking usury when they were forbidden it, and of their devouring people's wealth by false pretences.
We have prepared for those of them who disbelieve a painful doom.

We had a few instances where we have heard children talking when ours have been to sleep for hours and small feet running (only 5 steps) when ours were fast asleep. As well as my son seeing someone while we was in bed. Once he said a guy hit him and another time he said the guy woke him up. I don't know if it was a dream or not or if it was the same guy. But would like to know if there is anyone with experience in this manner? Or knows of any information that I might get a hold of to try and figure out what our options are. I have a contact that might be able to help, but they are 1/2 the country away. I don't know if it's all in my mind or not, but if it's not I want to snip this in the bud before any spirits do any damage to my childern.

I noticed in Lion King and others were 'earth centered' (duh) but in others like Aladin there is a classic hero's journey about an inner struggle, then outward struggle with people then ultimately over 'good and evil'

is there a pagan theme, christian theme, world religion theme like hinduism, buddhism, or other in Disney movies?

think of Peter Pan and tell me you can't find a theme like dreaming and hope, keeping youth and creativity alive, and getting along with fake mermaids, Native Americans, and 'bad guys' pirate or friendly 'lost boys'
