When one dies and goes to heaven, it is said that they will live the rest of their days in happiness with no more pain and suffering to deal with. FOREVER.

Well, forever is a very long time.

Ok. First of all, neither God nor Jesus was happy all the time. Obviously angels aren't happy all the time either or a third of the population of heaven wouldn't have wanted to revolt against the guy. Lucifer obviously wasn't happy there. There are many people who love people who aren't Christians and therefore would spend the rest of eternity without this person that obviously brings them (but not God) joy.

So I ask you. Is it really possible for Christians that die to be ETERNALLY happy in heaven without a care or an idea of pain?

PS. If Pain and Suffering are the things that really make us appreciate joy and happiness, would those emotions really mean anything to us if we could have them all the time and never lacked them???

Being happy for eternity would be a huge bore to anyone with intelligence. What makes existence worthwhile is change, challenge and discovery.

First of all it depends on which sources your argument is based. For example according to Islam, angels are always in the state of worship to God, they are not like humans or jins or the Satan. These three were given an intellect and freewill by God, we decide ourselves what we want to do, we have the freewill to worship God or revolt against Him. According to Islam Satan is one of the jins, we do not believe he was an angel (fallen angel) because angels never revolt against God.

Secondly, yes it is possible to live a happy life eternally. And it will happen for some people who enter Paradise.

Thirdly, Christians won't enter Paradise, because they worship Jesus, some worship Mother Marry and some Holy Spirit (Holy Spirit refers to Angel Gebrail in Islam, because God says that He has strengthened Jesus with Gebrail.) and some go beyond and worship things like the Cross, or Statue.

Fourth, nobody can take away anybody's sin. In Quran Allah says no father is responsible for his children's sin and no children for their parents. So how could Jesus take away your sins? He was a prohpet just like Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael.. not a sin taker.

Happiness has been defined as a state of well-being that is relatively permanent. It is characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to a deep and intense joy and by a natural desire for the state to continue.

Consider Jesus, who had strong faith in God and whose teachings have affected hundreds of millions of people over the centuries. Jesus was interested in human happiness. He began his well-known Sermon on the Mount with nine beatitudes—nine expressions that begin: “Happy are . . .” (Matthew 5:1-12)

Jesus knew that true happiness involves relationships with others. We humans are gregarious by nature, so we cannot be truly happy if we isolate ourselves or if we are constantly in conflict with those around us. We can be happy only if we feel loved and if we love others. Fundamental to such love, Jesus taught, is our relationship with God.—Matthew 4:4; 22:37-39.

One of the beatitudes is: “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” (Matthew 5:3.)

Vital to happiness is a feeling of personal dignity, or self-worth. Hope is also Vital to Happiness. (Psalms 37:11, 29) Enlarging on that hope, Revelation 21:3, 4 says: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. . . . And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Anyone who expects to have such a future has every reason to be happy, even if his present circumstances leave much to be desired. (James 1:12) So why not investigate the Bible and find out why you can believe it. Strengthen your hope by spending time each day reading the Bible. Doing so will enrich you spiritually, help you avoid the things that rob people of happiness, and build up your sense of contentment. Yes, the ultimate secret to real happiness is doing the will of God. (Ecclesiastes 12:13.) A life built on obeying the Bible’s precepts is a happy life, for Jesus said: “Happy are those hearing the word of God and keeping it!”—Luke 11:28.

first of all I don't believe in the existence of God. so Happiness on earth is what we make of it. After we die..we are dead..it's the same place we came from before we were born!

no, if there was nothing but happiness, there would be nothing to measure it by. To be truly happy, you need to experience unhappiness as well.

Great question! And as with many of the mysteries of our faith, you can ask our Father when we return home.

Bless you
