We suspect spirits in our house?

We had a few instances where we have heard children talking when ours have been to sleep for hours and small feet running (only 5 steps) when ours were fast asleep. As well as my son seeing someone while we was in bed. Once he said a guy hit him and another time he said the guy woke him up. I don't know if it was a dream or not or if it was the same guy. But would like to know if there is anyone with experience in this manner? Or knows of any information that I might get a hold of to try and figure out what our options are. I have a contact that might be able to help, but they are 1/2 the country away. I don't know if it's all in my mind or not, but if it's not I want to snip this in the bud before any spirits do any damage to my childern.

listen, that sounds like they arnt spirits they're are deamons in your house. the only way a deamon comes into a house is if you let it in, or you moved into a house, and you let it stay. if you let it in, it is usually due to the dark arts such as tarot cards, or witchcraft, if you want them to leave you need to stop right now. if they were already there, then you are letting them stay and you need to do something about it.

i speak from experience i lived in a haunted house in new jersey, with a roomate, because my room mate wasnt in agreement with me, my room became the only safe room in the house. every other room had this deamon that would chase us down the stairs and down the halls, but couldnt come into my room. almost every day i would come home and hear children wrestling and laughing upstairs then i would hear footstoops from upstairs, comming down the hall from my roomates room, the footsteps would come around the corner and down the stairs, at this point i would usually be grabbing a knife and comming around the corner to meet this intruder which was nobody.

then one night there was a little boy that opened my door, and woke me up. i thought nothing of it. i thought it was the landlords kid and they had dropped by like they sometimes do. untill i found out that the landlord doesnt have any kids. but this kid began to torment my roomate, just about every other night. but after that night never bothered me again and ill tell you why...

So i called my mom who had lived in a haunted house when she and her sister were teenagers, the house was haunted because they both got into quija (weejee) boards. and she said the only way to combat this deamon was to pray about it, and that Jesus wouldnt let it harm me. and since then i never had a problem again. if you speak in Jesus' name that is the ONLY way to combat them .

what ever you do, DO NOT TALK TO THE SPIRITS, this is how they got there in the first place, someone talked to them. understand.

Best thing that you can do is contact a Priest (Or your Faith leader) and ask for a cleansing/blessing. Some spirits are benign (like the spirits of the children) and some are not. For right now, I would not allow my child to sleep where they can be attacked, the best place to be is by you, I know that this might not be a popular place for your son to sleep when it comes to your husband, but you need to protect your son. If you find that he is being attacked...crossing over running water will help. . Make sure that your child is praying for protection every night before bed, too, now and after you have the house cleanses/blessed. You can also leave a tape recorder running at night after everyone goes to bed to tape some evidence, sometimes you can record your otherworldley housemates, then take that to your minister/priest. Something simple to do it smudge your house with sage. This will help to cleanse it of the energies. While smudging you can also say prayers to ask the spirits to leave the home. After the sage use frankincense and myrhh or copal and myrhh at least once a month. The house should feel lighter after this. I don't know about Vodou Visions. It is a book geared more towards people that want to practice Vodou. I dont know how you would feel about that.

What I have suggested is a simple way that any christian or non christian can do. I did it when I was a practicing christian. I still do it now. It has worked everytime for me!

Yes. I have in my house as well. He likes to play jokes. Mine is an older man. I told him to go to the light. He obviously cant find it. I decided to leave him alone about it. This was his house. He wants to stay. He loves to play games. You could have ur house blessed by a priest maybe. I've lived in other houses also, poss spirits. last one was a small child that loved to play with marbles. I'd take them and throw them away. When I'd get home there were marbles again. I felt so sorry. I didn't know how to help this spirit move on at that time. Mostly there OK but, the older man in my house now, was in the military and his jokes are not as cute as he thinks they are. From what I hear they love practical jokes. never had this much trouble with the child.

Ok, those first few answers were complete crap and should be given the thumbs down.
First of all, establish if these "spirits" or whatever they may be cause you discomfort. We had a spirit in our house when I was an infant and my mother made it clear that she wasn't gonna put up with any crap, and he never caused irreparable damage.
But what you don't want is a possession of some kind.
See if you can get your hands on a Native American shaman and have he/she instruct you in a house cleansing.
If that doesn't work, or if things get worse, no matter your religion, get yourself a Catholic priest. Your average priest cannot do exorcisms, but they always know somebody who knows somebody and eventually you'll get yourself a priest trained in exorcism.

Get a catholic priest to bless the house. Also look for a medium around the area....try looking online for the medium someone who has a good reputation. The medium would help you figure out what spirits are in the house while a blessing of the house usually helps to rid of the spirits.
Sometimes spirits just want to be acknowledged and sometimes if you just ask them to stop, they will. Others just want you out of the house and will do whatever it takes to get you to comply.

The forces of evil are indeed real... you do not give any indication of your faith.... The forces of evil have dominion over this world. It is only God's strength that can hold them at bay. If you are able to move then I would recomend that you do so... they are likly tied to that place in some way...As you did not indicate you were of The Church of Which Jesus The Christ is The Head, there is nothing else I can suggest... For those who can speak in Christ Jesus' Name there is that Name that can be used against the forces of evil... That Name is the only True defence against evil.

Yes it is possible that there is a jinn (spirits or ghosts in other relgions) in your house. In Quran, it is mentioned that the jinns are like human beings but they live in a parallel world that we do not see them, but they can see us. Since jinns are also like humans and are divided into believers, non-believers, idol worshippers...etc it is possible that there are some jinns who are non-believers might try to contact with people.

How to remove them:
Any strong Islamic scholar can remove it, you need to contact your local mosque and request them to chase them from you house. But there is no guarantee that they won't come back, because if you are a non-muslim family then jinns might come back again. In a muslim house, since they recite Quran, pray five times a day, fast....etc jinns are afraid to enter and stay in Muslim houses. So this phenomenon happens in a non-muslim, or not practicing muslim houses.

Calm down. Have you been working too much lately? I remember when i once thought my house was haunted. I had just watch a horror flick, and although nothing was there, i really believed i was hearing and seeing things. I then came to my senses, and found out the noises were really mice.
