153. The People of the Scripture ask of thee that thou shouldst cause an (actual) Book to descend upon them from
heaven. They asked a greater thing of Moses aforetime, for they said: Show us Allah plainly. The storm of lightning
seized them for their wickedness. Then (even after that) they chose the calf (for worship) after clear proofs (of Allah's
Sovereignty) had come unto them. And We forgave them that! And We bestowed on Moses evident authority.
154. And We caused the Mount to tower above them at (the taking of) their covenant: and We bade them: Enter the
gate, prostrate! and we bade them : Transgress not the Sabbath! and We took from them a firm covenant.
155. Then because of their breaking of their covenant, and their disbelieving in the revelations of Allah, and their
slaying of the Prophets wrongfully, and their saying: Our hearts are hardened Nay, but Allah hath set a seal upon them
for their disbelief, so that they believe not save a few
156. And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny;
157. And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger They slew him not nor
crucified, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no
knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture ; they slew him not for certain,
158. But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, wise.
159. There is not one of the People of the Scripture but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of
Resurrection he will be a witness against them
160. Because of the wrongdoing of the Jews We forbade them good things which were (before) made lawful unto them,
and because of their much hindering from Allah's way,
161. And of their taking usury when they were forbidden it, and of their devouring people's wealth by false pretences.
We have prepared for those of them who disbelieve a painful doom.

yes but also remember that when Allah speaks of the punishment you have to understand clearly that he's speaking of those Jews at the time of the prophets (Moses and David) who did all that stuff, there still was good Jews who followed the words of God and those are amongst the righteous!!

even today if a Jew accepts the Quran as a divine revelation and believes that Muhammed (pbuh) is a prophet of God and follows THEIR true teachings and Laws, i say they too are among the righteous and will be rewarded.!!!

According to Islam, jews were chosen to spread the Message of God - not a chosen people meaning they are above others. But jews started to misunderstand this and think that they were the chosen one, superior to others. Because they argued, all the prophets come from our race (even Jesus peace be upon him was a jew). However God is All Knowing and All Powerful, so he sent a new religion and a new prophet - he was prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), not a jew but a semitic, because arabs are semitic people. This made jews angry and they dissapproved the prophet as they did with Jesus (pbuh). And for that they should face the Hell.

Dawah is a positive outlook and invitation to islam. also quoting negativity from the Quran to non-muslims will only make them misunderstand it even more. this is not the right thing to do with non-muslims. First of all many of the 1st muslims were previously from the jewish tribes of Arabia. Remember Abu-Huraira RA-he was a jew prior to being muslim. so let's not insult the people of the book. we're not the judges here. we can only try to relay the positive aspects of islam and not these negative "Allah Hates them" verses. because this isn't true. careful with which verses you choose to spread..if they hate islam because of it then you'll be judged for that. Each verse has a specific incident that goes back to it. It's not talking about the masses it's talking about specific people even though they are not mentioned in the verse. So please learn the history of each verse before attacking people with it. these verses will speak against the person who misused them on judgment day.

My own feeling? I am a Jew by choice, and accept the Jewish concept of life and religion.

I feel that you have found something in the Qur'an that satisfies you-----we can find that in any religion, and use it. You have to take a religion at it's whole, and not pick and choose what to accept and project to people.

I accept Islam as a much better religion than Christianity, and will always stand to defend it. I believe that G-d is G-d. G-d is One. The Jesus concept of being of G-d, is idolatry. A prophet, maybe--------never G-d.

They were given the chance t be the chosen people of God but they chose to be His enemies. They killed hundreds of God's messengers and corrupted in earth except for few wise persons among them who recognized the truth and followed it.

The Jews used to make fun of Muhammed because he didn't know much about Jewish scripture, so he decided he hated them. If you look at the the suras chronologically, you'll see that the view of Jews changed.

I hope you realize someday that Jesus was more than a prophet and all we really needed for salvation.
