If the definition is no longer just one man and one woman because a group of people say so, then what is the basis for restriciting the definition of marriage at any point? Why can't some say marriage is a man and two or more women or a woman and two or more men? Why can marriage be between a human and an animal? If there are no absolute paramaters for what marriage is, then whoever has the most influence and the loudest voice can determine what it is....

Realizing that recreation as we know it is a recent event in history, what kinds of recreational activity would Jesus had participated in, do you think? Or would Joseph and Mary needed to him to be working at a much younger age than children do today?

they just don't seem to get it really and attitudes seem almost pagan, as though people need to barter with God. of course i am generalising so obviously is doesn't apply to all

This is a simple explanation of Calvinism with respect to salvation and the mind of God as taught in the Bible.
1. God before the foundation of the world God determined to create humans.
2. Because of God's plan and purpose these humans fell into sin.
3. God before the foundation of the world determined to have mercy on some of these sinful humans and provide salvation to and for some of them.
4. These sinful humans God determined to have mercy upon where chosen by the Father, given to the Son and the Son died for them and actually saved them by the power of the Holy Spirit.
5. God the Father did not choose every sinful human but passedover and let them have what they wanted, separation from God in this life and the next.
6. Every human God created deserved the wrath and punishment of God because of their wilful sin and guilt. None deserved mercy. Some received mercy and other received justice but no one was done wrong. There is no injustice in God.

Alright, maybe I didn't speak clearly the first time. I have no problem with someone praying to their diety for things that are out of reach or serious in nature. If someone is dying from a terminal or chronic illness, no problem, I understand why one would pray. It's out of their control. If someone prays that they get out of debt (given the cirumstances), I'd see why one would pray, although the situation is slightly under his/her control. I just don't see why someone would submit to God his/her problems regarding dating, winning a football game, getting a promotion at a job, doing better in school, etc etc. I hear people argue that you must submit to God for him to answer your prayers but that doesn't answer my question. My question is: Why rely on God for the small things in your life like that? Do you not think that you must do SOME things on your own without the help from others, God or human? Here was my previous question.

Mine is a religious one, about Mohammed (PBUH):
In Mohammed's (PBUH) city there was a Jewish man who used to throw the trash in front of his house, as a prophet who every one loved he was able to punish that man or even get him out of that Muslim city.
One day he didn't find the trash, so he went to visit his Jewish neighbor to check him because he was afraid that something bad happened to him, when we came to his house he fond that man laying on his bed, that man was astonished and he asked him why you care about me. He said because I was afraid that something bad matter you.
The Jewish man cried and he converted to Islam as he admired Mohammed's merciful heart.

Imagine if we all practiced tolerance and respect for one another, and let go of desire. Geesh, we'd be living in Heaven on Earth right now! Too bad we have to go around bombing each other.

When Satan was an innocent angel in Heaven, evil did not exist. But then how could good have existed without evil? Both concepts define each other exclusively. Maybe some intelligent Christians can enlighten us all.
