I'm Christian but I read this and the th Bible afterwards and now I am confused on whether or not God id truly loving. Here are the passages.

In Exodus 31:15 the Holy Bible demands: “For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.”

In 1 Timothy 2:11-12 the Bible says: “Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.”

In Leviticus 25:44 the Bible says: “Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. I'm not addressing the pro-life/pro-choice issue at all here. . . I'm questioning about the approach. How is shouting and insulting the girls supposed to help them? How would that make them want to stop what they are doing and listen? Wouldn't softer words and a calmer approach be better than anger and hellfire? Wouldn't you rather have someone change her mind because of reason rather than fear?

I ask because if I was to accept help and advice on ANY problem, especially such an emotionally heavy topic, I would be more willing to accept it from someone who explained their position more gently. It would be hard to believe someone screaming threats and judgments was really looking out for my best interests.

What was it like for you - please share?


For me, It was February and I was 14 at a youth camp. Somebody was preaching but I don't know if I heard a word they said - But I did remember feeling God's Spirit and feeling His very strong LOVE pour through the top of my head like a beam of white light. I was changed from that day on...

(That's the only way I can figure out how to describe it - sorry if it sounds kinda weird!)

I'm hoping some Satanists can help me. I am a 25 y.o. male. I'm attractive and not a looser. I am over edjucated and under employed, as they say (although I didn't really go to college, but I read a lot). . I've been practicing Satanism for many years now, but I cannot get my spells to work. Satanists told me I did not have to get all the stuff mentioned in the Satanic Bible, but my spells never seemed to work. So decided to get everything. I got the gong Baphomet ,sword , bell, etc. I was even able to get my stepsister to be the Altar! She was a stripper and she looks good, so it wasn't that. She agreed to do it because she wanted to conjure up the devil on Haloween but I told her didn't work that way. I still can't get my spells to work (even tho I have tried). I'm starting to think this stuff doesn't work. I know it's a philosophy, but it seems like I could do whatever I want to do anyway and not call myself a Satanist. Any advice? Hail Satan!

not trying to cause a big disagreement, promise. it was a topic discussed in philosophy today.

alright, so during the Enlightenment, philosophes emphasized thinking for yourelf, and not believing only in what someone else told you. so why did people (and still do) take the Bible as the absolute truth. correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't other people write the Bible, according to what "god" said? and no one questioned them for hearing 'the word of god'?

so all in all, if you are an enlightened being, why do you believe in the Bible? again, not raising problems, raising a question

me and my stepmom had a wigi board and my grandpa died and i want to see if the wigi board really worked because i thought i saw me grandpa in my bedroom he was wearing white and i got afraid my grandma saw animals floating but me and my stepmom
tryed it when my grandma was moving her grass i had someone there it said it was my grandpa and we asked it who it wanted to talk to and it spelled my grandma name three times and my dad two times and my grandma would not go in the room and a month later she started filling bad she said she had black stuff comming out of her and her clothes were sticking on her and we
took her the church and the priest told her it was in her head and then my family took her to the doctors and they gave her 5 differnt
medicines and she gettig worse and i dont not know what to do.

If a supreme being knows everything about the universe and beyond, and its power can not be measured by number and human understanding, this being then is truly a God in every aspect of the word. But what I don't understand is, why he needs us? If he is a truly an omnicient being, he doesn't need to be loved, he doesn't need to be praised and certainly he doesn't need to be worshipped just to boost his ego. He doesn't need to be reminded because he knows everything, then why we have to pray for our forgiveness and wishes in life, if he truly does. If that so, do you think, everything is pointless now. You know, why bother?

I need you guys to think for moment without the influence of your beliefs. Use your God-given brain to ponder this subject carefully. I hope I won't see any quotes from the Bible, Quaran, etc. unless it is written by God himself.
