Like Jesus, the Apostles, biblical Christians, and biblical Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays. In the Scriptures, literally 100% of the recorded birthday observances involved pagan false worshippers and degraded sin. True Christians want no association with such practices, and understand that these practices dishonor God and Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses are encouraged to treat their children generously, with their time and also with material things.

(Matthew 7:9-11) Who is the man among you whom his son asks for bread—he will not hand him a stone, will he? Or, perhaps, he will ask for a fish—he will not hand him a serpent, will he? Therefore, if you, although being [relatively] wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more so will your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those asking him?

I even have been interpreting for a pair years now. i'm an activities director at a Residential Care Facility, so with this this is my activity to do such activities that revolve around the vacations. They be attentive to that i do no longer have fun the vacations, I won't attend the Christmas celebration or play secret Santa. besides the fact that this is my activity to help the citizens beautify timber, fill out Christmas playing cards and so on. so some distance I even have been happy with it because of the fact i be attentive to i'm no longer celebrating and that i'm doing the activity i became into employed to do. Any techniques or innovations may well be efficient.

No, they do not believe in gifts of any kind, not even birthday presents. That doesn't mean that all JH's follow that rule though.

Quote from the article link below:
"In addition, Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays or holidays. "We have decided that these celebrations, being of pagan and not Christian origin, shouldn't be practiced by us," Prado says. "Although I hear all the time about presents and fun parties, I've pretty much gotten used to not doing this and it's not that much of a big deal anyway. We just like to have get-togethers whenever."

Christmas is connected to Pagan rituals that were engaged in around the end of December. It has nothing in any way shape or form to do with Jesus. That is why Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate it. They give presents when they can, but not for the purpose of Christmas.

No. JWs are very strict about living the life of a true Christian. They believe the other Christian denominations have been corrupted with Pagan practices. As the giving of presents is a Pagan tradition, they don't do it. In fact, I don't think they even celebrate Christmas. The celebration of your day of birth (even that of Jesus) is also Pagan.

We give our children and all our loved ones gifts, but not at Christmas. We also wrap them, but not with Christmas paper or any holiday paper. We give gifts because we want to, not because we feel compelled to like so many do at Christmas time. Everywhere you turn, people complain about all the money they have to spend, about all the gifts they will have to return, and how they got a small cheap gift. At my job or anywhere in fact, I hear no one talk about Jesus. Santa Claus is mentioned a lot---how that must make Jesus feel. Santa is everywhere, in movies, on commercials, in the malls. Where is Jesus? Jesus was born in early fall, not winter. He only commanded us to celebrate the last supper he had with his apostles on Nisan 14th of the Jewish calendar and that is the only thing we celebrate faithfully every year. Parents lie to their children about Santa, and liars will not inherit God's Kingdom. How sad. Parents should be role models for their children and always be truthful and honest in all things for that pleases God and his Son. Any encyclopedia will tell you how Christmas originated and how all its customs and traditions were started by pagans. Would Jesus want to be associated with anything pagan? We love our reigning King and so we do not dishonor him with pagan traditions of men. We strive to be like the first century Christians who strictly adhered to God's laws.

I used to work at a country club and one of the dishwashers was a Jehovah's witness. From what he told me, they don't believe in holidays, birthdays, and a lot of other stuff.
