I'm not addressing the pro-life/pro-choice issue at all here. . . I'm questioning about the approach. How is shouting and insulting the girls supposed to help them? How would that make them want to stop what they are doing and listen? Wouldn't softer words and a calmer approach be better than anger and hellfire? Wouldn't you rather have someone change her mind because of reason rather than fear?

I ask because if I was to accept help and advice on ANY problem, especially such an emotionally heavy topic, I would be more willing to accept it from someone who explained their position more gently. It would be hard to believe someone screaming threats and judgments was really looking out for my best interests.

anthony--is that how Jesus tried to right what He thought was wrong? He yelled and used force and fear? Do you think God would prefer people choose to follow Him because they understand His love (for God so LOVED the world) or because He yelled at them and cowed them into submission?

This is a very good question. I think that the insult hurlers forget that Jesus loves everyone not just the ones who believe that they are righteous. I believe that He is there with the patients throughout. He would help them, hold their hands, comfort them. I personally would love to see the end of all abortions but only because no one needed an abortion anymore not because it was outlawed. My husband and I are desperately trying to have a baby and it breaks my heart to think about a young woman having an abortion because I would give so much to be pregnant. Hopefully, one of those young women will be willing to have a baby and give it up for adoption.

Some people like the whole fire and brimstone speech and they assume that everyone else will respond to it the way they did/do. Unfortunately it most often turns people away from God or tuns them off to God. It's hard to judge which is the best way to witness to people. But I'm a firm believer in showing Love. Love is what Jesus showed us, so why not show love to others?

That's an interesting observation. Usually it is the other way around when Christians are having a peaceful and prayerful demonstration. Of course they usually get obscenities. But you are correct on the approach that you have seen, a rather "worldly", not spiritual approach, or act of love.

that's not professional existence. deliberate parenthood is merely that -- deliberate Parenthood. many times they're a loose sanatorium for delivery administration approaches. they could desire to no longer be attacked verbally or bodily because of the fact of an persons' decision. If somebody chooses to have an abortion they could desire to have the perfect to have it executed in a sparkling expert environment. otherwise they're going to discover "gutter ditch" strategies. no person has the perfect to tell every physique what they could desire to or shouldn't do with their very very own bodies.

Probably because it is an emotional topic in an emotionally charged atmosphere.

The yelling goes both ways. Not from the girls, but people "defending" Planned Parenthood and Pro-Life groups.

*I can not speak for all pro-life people, but personally I think it takes people like you to talk with these young girls and really talk to them out of caring and love that there are other alternatives to abortion; not sinning themselves by basically throwing stones at these girls with difficult situations when all people on this Earth, except for Jesus Christ, has sinned in their own ways.

They need to yell more. Abortion clinics are of satan. Killing babies is horrible. And pro-choice is a lie-babies don't choose to die.
