Or are they just what go on in your head when you are out of touch with reality?

I believe they are metaphorical, and very meaningful. They're your subconscious mind. I find the meaning of them if I remember back to the feeling in the dream, not necessarily the people or objects in them.

Absolutely! In the Book of Daniel, several dreams were interpreted, and the effects of those dreams did have an impact on the world. Today especially, those who understand the meanings of those dreams are given a definite and real perspective on the times in which we live. On a deeper level, those who understand the Book of Daniel come away with a stronger faith because they know that many of these prophecies have already been fulfilled.

Some dreams are most certainly just our minds churning along, "cooking up" stuff for us. But some dreams are very, very special. The person who has the ability to discern between the two is a blessed person.

Good question!

Actually...your dreams have everything to do with the real world. When you go to sleep you lose your conciousness and go to a subcontious state. Sometimes, if something has been bothering you, you may see people that are involved in your situation. Also, you can keep a journal near your bed and write what you have seen in your sleep. When writing in this 'Dream Journal' be sure to add colors and places. Also add things that you may recognize from daily life. Then after you have gotten a few nights...research what you wrote online or go to a library and look for dream interpretators. Sometimes what you saw will help you, sometimes what you interpret may be incorrect...so watch what you research and link what you write, to whats going on. Your dreams also can warn you about the future, so if youre having repeating dreams...see a professional interpretor.

Dreams are a way for your brain to process stuff you've recently experienced. We've all had dreams involving something that has happened to us or that we are concerned about. Dreams show us the past, not the future. Dreams are still a mystery, but they are most certainly reality.

Absolutely, but the real world is in individuals because dreams are based on personal experience, actual event and sometimes triggered by media effect, movie, news and so on.

So, yes most of the time, it has meaning, but sometimes it is just like a recorder to play back what you see and feel in day time.

depends on what you mean by meaning on the real world. dreams are like a key to our thoughts, subconcious. you can look for symbols throughout your dream to better understand what you feel deep inside. psychiatrists do this as well. some think that those dreams we cant remember (or remember faintly) to be a deja vu, so therefore a dream could be a key to the future as well. it depends on how u interpret your dream. (fyi, im not sayin all dreams tell the future, but i know ive had a dream that i could kidna remember that it clicked 2 yrs later when i went to different schoo, i remembered my dream exactly as it was happening around me, perhaps others have had similar experiences)

I think dreams are definitely meaningful. There are two distinct types of dreams: the ones that prophesy a coming event and ones that tell you about your mentality. the latter dreams are more common, we have them each night.

dreams are a bridge between our conscious and subconscious mind. sometimes, when we're not willing to admit feelings like fear or excitement or anger, it comes out in symbolic form in our dreams (i.e. monsters, or night, or death).

when it comes to dreaming, all dreams have meaning for us, even if to just explain where we are in our mental selves.

the prophetic dreams are less common. but i believe everyone at one point in their lives have dreamt something that eventually came to pass. how it's possible to dream something hours or days or weeks before it actually happens in real life is a source of much debate.. no one knows, but it happens.

if you'd like to know more of how your dreams affect you personally, i'd suggest you keep a dream diary that helps you log what you dream, and then compare it side by side with what's happening to you in reality, and you'll have a clear picture of how important they truly are.

Dreams have EVERYTHING to do with the real world. They are the truest expression of you reall thoughts and feelings about the world. As long as you know the symbolism in your dream, you will understand what your mind and spirit are trying to tell you and can live your life accordingly.

Dreams are images that our brains create when we are sleeping. Sometimes, it is how our brain manifests worries and concerns that we have. Sometimes it is a replaying of events in our lives. Sometimes it is a manifestation of our desires.

It is entirely possible that our dreams may be a way for God to tell us something.
