This is a simple explanation of Calvinism with respect to salvation and the mind of God as taught in the Bible.
1. God before the foundation of the world God determined to create humans.
2. Because of God's plan and purpose these humans fell into sin.
3. God before the foundation of the world determined to have mercy on some of these sinful humans and provide salvation to and for some of them.
4. These sinful humans God determined to have mercy upon where chosen by the Father, given to the Son and the Son died for them and actually saved them by the power of the Holy Spirit.
5. God the Father did not choose every sinful human but passedover and let them have what they wanted, separation from God in this life and the next.
6. Every human God created deserved the wrath and punishment of God because of their wilful sin and guilt. None deserved mercy. Some received mercy and other received justice but no one was done wrong. There is no injustice in God.

Um, I don't know, maybe because it makes it sound like God plays favorites?

Why would God create the humans who were wicked if he was going to "decide" not to save them? Sounds kind of sick, to create people and then not save them and cast them into hell.

By the way, show us where in the bible it says anything about 2, 3, or 5.

Because it offends peoples sensitivities. People do not like the ideas that TULIP espouses. They do not like to be told that they are totally depraved and corrupted by sin. They do not like the idea of God selecting who is saved and who is not, etc.
