What is a cult? is it simply an unpopular religion? I would go so far as to say when a religious group compels you to hurt yourself or another person that would be a cult. But short of that what makes a cult a cult? Also I will give your answer no credibility if you bash other beleif systems just because they are not yours.

The two seem vastly different to me. Priests must've been ignorant, opportunistic or evil. People died so that others could read and interpret for themselves. Doesn't anybody do it?

Saint Peter was crucified on a inverted cross because he believed he was not Jesus worthy of a nomal cross. In recent times, the inverted cross has been used to show a distaste for Christianity or worn by teenagers to be rebelious. It wasn't always that way, the inverted cross used to be worn to show that you were trying to be Jesus like but you would never presume to be Jesus.

Are you brave enough to wear a inverted cross for the original reason and take the ribbing, the looks, and the questions?

All of us have this in common. We believe in a superior being that we call God. Why don't we unite, and believe in the same God and forget about all that non sense and stupidities that divide us that only degrade the human race. We are destroying ourselves for stupid reasons.

Lets forget about the past, (The Crusades), and lets think about the present.

Why there is so much vengeance in this World? In the end having all the power doesn't bring any happiness, just fake satisfaction.

Isn't the expression "Born Again Christian" redundant? It seems that to be a Christian,, you must be "Born Again".

Seriously I have noticed this have you? It doesn't even matter what the question or answer is. Some one will decide to dislike it. I try not to thumbs down anyone as their opinion is theirs and they have a right to it.

I've been thinking about becoming one. You know like Tammy Faye or Jan Crouch. I've got the wardrobe, the blonde hair and the mascara. I'm just wondering if I have to sing. I'm not the best singer LOL! Or do I just sit on the couch, look concerned and then just laugh or cry when it's needed? If so, I can do that.

What other skills will I need?

When you stand before God, and the book of life is open and He reminds you of all the things you have done, good or bad, what answers will you give Him? Will you beg for mercy or hang your head in shame and accept your punishment? Now is the time to be doing something about what He will say to you on that day. Do you choose Heaven or Hell?

I have prayed nightly, wrote journal every night, read the book "Every Man's Battle", been to counseling and I still struggle with lust problem. I am extremely frustrated and depressed about the thought that this might be a lifelong battle.
Why did God give me this unendurable obstacle to go through in the first place? Why is He not intervening in my life to free or at least mitigate my pains from this problem?
Sorry to bother u guys again but I am struggling mightily. Any support or insight would be appreciated.

I know that there is some debate in christian circles about whether the death penalty is biblical endorsed. I know the old testament prescribed the death penalty for an extensive list of crimes. BUt what does the New testament say?

Jesus came to fulfill the old testament so does that mean that capitol punishment is still a viable option? Or do should we follow the "let he who has no sins cast the first stone" saying.?

Im opposed but Im curious what other people think.

OK. Now what if I said that because of you guys, I did not believe in God anymore? That I was converting to Atheism/Agnosticism? Would you be happy or would you make fun of me for not staying true to my faith? Keep in mind I'm not saying this, but just to put this scenario up.....
