No. Apparently freedom only works for Atheists. No one is inviting you to spend all of your time and questions on here continually bashing Christians either, But that is all you do. Pretty lame, sad and pathetic. If you are so secure in your non belief why do you have to do this? Get a life and move on buddy!

I doubt it. The cross is a symbol of faith for the believer. It has meaning to the individual that has accepted Christ. The cross is an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace for the believer. Back in the Roman times when Christians were prosecuted for their faith they developed a method of communicating to others of the faith by drawing half a fish in the dirt. If the other upon seeing the half fish completed the fish then both would know it was safe to discuss Christian matters. So I would say that the Christian that is wearing a cross on the out side of his shirt is actually opening himself to dialog with other Christians.
If someone, insecure with their own belief system, wants to pick apart someone Else's belief system, well, I guess that is his/her prerogative. But it amuses me that you think your opinion is so much more valuable than this person's with a cross around his/her neck. Why would I go around trying to disprove some one else's belief system unless I was actually searching for something in which to believe.
That's my 30 seconds of thought. Thank you.

I wear a cross outside my shirt practically every day. And I am not asking you to do anything. I simply wear it as a reminder to me of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for me. And He also done it for you also. But of course I do not expect you to understand that; because you do not want to understand it. I certainly do not want or need your attention. And I will assure you that you will not embarrass me. Because I do not have to give account unto you for anything. If you want to make a fool of yourself, then go ahead. Because you can rest assured that make a fool of yourself is all that you will do.

Nope. I wear a key around my neck. Does that mean I invite you to comment? No. If you wear a big sign saying "I believe in Jesus come argue with me" go ahead. But their cross is simply a statement about their beliefs, not a signal that they want a debate.

Now many non-Christians also wear the cross, perhaps that is some decoration for them or they want to prove that they are sympathetic to Christianity.
For a devoted Christian that may remind other people about the existence of a religion of God, or may remind himself that he should behave properly as follower of Christ.
I think there is no harm for people to express themselves by using decently religious symbols. However, it might be better to express our hearts to the mature humanity of our age by more dignified spiritual ways.

It's not all about you! If someone is wearing a cross, it is simply a symbol of their beliefs.
If you wear something are you inviting attention from others?
Yeah, weird question, huh?

I wear one and it has nothing to do with getting a comment from anyone. It shows my religious belief and is there to protect me. You are either an atheist or a Jew. You should learn to respect other peoples beliefs. It'll make you a better person..not a bitter and miserable one. Smile and be happy.....

No, don't be a jerk. They are wearing it because their faith is important to them.
Unless they are wearing something overtly offensive, like a shirt that says "I love Hitler and he was right", keep your mouth shut and your opinions to yourself. Wearing a cross necklace isn't an open invitation to discuss that you think they are wrong.

You seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Christians and the jewelry they wear. If you're an atheist, why do you care? Why can't you just snicker behind their backs? Your vehemence would indicate that you're confused. Why does what other people believe bother you so much?
