Idol worship is forbidden in Hinduism. Hindus do not worship idols but deities. There is a difference between idols and deities, deity worship is authorized, and idol worship is not authorized.
Although the Christians and Muslims say they do not worship idols, they actually do. The Christians worship the cross, which is an idol/symbol. The holiest shrine for the Muslims is the Kebba. What is there? A black stone, an idol. The Muslims worship the stone and revere it as holy.
The Muslims face the black stone in Kebba when worshipping, the Christians face the cross, and the Hindus face a deity of a real person who existed. Who is the idol worshiper?

Twelve Suggested Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous
1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol--that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

It is important to know that Seraphim Rose was an Orthodox person. He didn't want to sin and became an Orthodox Christian. What else do you know about him?

Where does it say (in the Bible)that a sinner must first approach God needs to be pure of heart, sincere, or sorry for their sins to be saved? Alot of you folks just don't get it...
I was just trying to make the point that no matter what sin a person committs, if he or she repents with GODLY SORROW, not a person telling God they are sorry for their sins (can you name every sin you ever committed against God in order to obtain salvation?), of course not.
I know the a,b,c's of God's plan of salvation...
My point was that a sinner is a sinner....

I have a bf. Hes a Jehovah's Witness. Im a Roman Catholic. And i admit- sometimes I dont like his religion. I really dont want it to get between our relationship, but sometimes I cant help wishing that he was a Catholic too. How can I get over this? I dont want to disrespect his religion because I know Jehovah's witnesses have good intentions. Any hints to overcome this horrible feeling?

Abraham was called a friend of God, also the father of faith. However, he lived before Christ came. He didn't know the name of Christ, according to Christian faith, whoever believes in the name of the only begotten son of God will have life eternal. John 3:16

Thus, I can't help but wonder if Abraham, and people like King David, Prophet Daniel, would have salvation for eternal life?

Please answer biblically if possible. thanks a lot!

God bless,

Paul

Nice food, chat, doesnt really answer any real questions. doesnt even answer any questions that appear here on Yahoo Answers. Is the Alpha Course really geared towards christianized people not at church anymore, but not meant to answer any questions? or what

I have to work in the morning. I have to carry my superior self to work like a common redneck. A black man of my caliber should be flown to work in a Helicopter and carried to my desk. White women should feed me grapes and fan me all day long. UNGAWA BLACK POWER!
