No, I don't want to be in control over people's lives.

It's funny that people dream of ultimate power, like it some kind of magic that can let you make your will reality. I don't believe "god" could pass on ultimate power. I'm not sure I believe in that kind of power. Yet I do believe that human beings have power enough to guide themselves to the destiny they seek if they are willing to work for it. I wonder if I can answer your question. If that kind of power existed and I could have it, yes I would take it, because I would like to change things on a grand scale. I can not stop my self from thinking that I would have a grand time tinkering with things, but I'm sure I would screw it up. I am merely a selfish human with petty desires. It would be better for everyone if no human was ever given ultimate power. See how much trouble we've caused just by being at the top of the food chain.

I have to say that I am honestly surprised at how many would turn down the opportunity. But, I suppose that since most of those who answered this question, by virtue of the Yahoo Q&A points, don't get out a whole lot and our probably more reluctant to have any kind of social interaction, let alone have a power such as that which would require them to interact with everyone, all at once, through out the entire world. Yep, I imagine that would be fairly scary for the typical intravert. I myself really can't say much tho. Since I first found this website, I've found that I've been spending an increasingly more uneasy amount of time on this addictive form of "entertainment?". God help me! Yahoo's got me turning into an intravert!! LOL. I'd take the power just as long as it also includes his wisdom, knowledge, and anything else that a mere mortal may need to adequately and satisfactorially administer such power. FYI: Near the top of my list would be every single "Holy" child molester that takes refuge behind the house of God and a Religion.

God would never offer His power to anyone. He is a jealous God and does not share His Glory.

We, as humans, are too limited to understand anything about God. We live in a temporal frame--time and space. He doesn't. Even if, hypothetically speaking, He were to offer his power, we wouldn't know what to do with it.

There is no such thing as ultimate power for a human being. Remember, if God doesn't allow you the next breath, you are done. Dictators seems to think they have ultimate power but guess what has happened and will happen to any dictator? Their days are numbered. Sooner or later justice catches up to them.

Does that in any way answer the question?

I hate it even as people do not learn or understand a question and then supply recommendations non secular or in any distinctive case that don't even attempt to reply to the unique question. for my area on the subject if a god exists then I default cut back lower back to an previous declaring " if we knew God's plan we would be Gods too". Like with a criminal homicide case we are able to make logical guesses, yet till the criminal says why they did it we could desire to pass away it to our minds and our good judgment as incorrect as which could be to locate which capability in what ought to desire to probably be not some thing greater beneficial then randomness.

No way...I wouldn't want that responsibility...Because even if you took it for 5 minutes to say, end the war...you really don't know what balance you might be mucking up by doing that.

The Gods/Goddesses of this world have made things the way they are for a reason and I believe that to be so that we, the human race, can make mistakes and hopefully learn and evolve on our own.

Not enough information to know... ultimate power is well and good as a phrase, but who has any serious idea what it actually means? Also, it depends which god you're asking about.

I believe this issue was addressed in the respected documentary film, Bruce Almighty. God powers are a bit much for mere mortals, but it might be fun to try . . . for a while.

Matthew 17:19-20 "Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, 'Why could we not cast it out?' He said to them, 'Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."

So.. how do you know that God didn't give you access to his power?

As long as you live life for his glory, walk in faith and be a man after God's own heart.

Yes, I would love the power of being non-existant. What the heck kind of question is that,

However, if I had absolute powers over everything. I would turn all the christians into pig feces
