Don't folks just love to attack a Fundamental Baptist Preacher?

I have heard so much "god-less" mess over my 13 years nothing shocks me anymore....

I'm sorry you feel wrongly attacked by those you believe profess "god-less mess". There may be some unfair persecution here to which you are responding with anger, and there may also be defensiveness against opening up to the most fundamental point of all...that Jesus came to speak to our hearts, not to just give a new set of laws.

I will not judge your heart, God will do that and He will be perfectly just and perfectly merciful because that is His nature. But what I can say is that you are projecting anger and an appeal to fear tactics that is driving people away from the very thing their hearts yearn for. You are beloved by your creator, and your zeal to bring God to a lost world is acknowledged. Relax a little and listen to the holy spirit speaking to your heart. Rest in God's love, friend. It is Love - not fear, that is the message.

I have been attacked by fundamental baptist preachers (amid others, to be fair) several times in my life so I can identify with them to some extent but I still don't really feel sorry for them... just smile and say God bless you if someone verbally abuses your faith... that's the worst you can do to some people :)

Really, you shouldn't mock the afflicted.

However, they're such fun. I don't think I know any group more self righteous, arrogant and well, basically mentally subnormal (Osama Bin Liner excepted).

All fundamentalists are entertaining because they're basically irrational. They fail to notice their own contradictions and, if you point them out, they suggest that "all things are possible to god" ie. it must be a miracle rather than "it's plain wrong". The best spoof (at least I hope it's a spoof) is the "Landover Baptist Church" (look it up on the internet). It shows up all the rampant stupidity of the religious freaks.

Well, do you thump the Bible, as people sometimes say? I've heard that rumor bandied about. Some other Christians don't cotton to that sort of irreverent behavior.

But that sort of thing just kind of raises the eyebrow a little higher, that's all. I don't think anyone would attack you for that.

How come they all got funny artificial looking teeth, and a smile which is supposed to be "sincere" but looks like it been painted on?

Most of my life I disliked such preachers. Now, I think that it is justice that the preacher takes the money of the gullible. The money is better spent on prostitutes and sports cars by people like Jimmy Swaggert.

i dont think much about it honestly i dont have any problems with religion...just the people mostly nothing against you im sure your cool i just find some people who happen to be "christian" very judgmental for people who believe in a God who state clearly several times in the word of God that thou shalt not pass judgment. "the biggest cause of atheism is Christians who say they believe and walk out the door and deny it by their lifestyle". bless you though for having the patients to deal with hurtful people and i hope i didn't offend have a good one chin up you've got God on your side right.

Anyone who makes themselves an easy target by using fuzzy logic to prove an unprovable point, demand values in others he doesn't possess and devalue the thoughts, opinions ands values of others is asking for every (non-violent) thing he gets.
