In a profile I just read he states that he is a vegetarian and pro-life because he respects all life forms. I never thought of animal life and human life being equal. Do u?

I have 2 friends that are true vegetarians but both women are prochoice stating that it's the woman's body and she can do with it as she wants. (I say to them that they aren't killing their bodies, they are killing the baby's bodies) Anyways, that's a whole other issue. Back to animals. I adore animals. I personally think God put certain animals here for us to eat. There are animals whose meat is toxic and we would die if we ate them (some fish and amphibians). Plus God did not create animals in His image like He did man. If we aren't to eat animals then what is God's purpose for them? My friends don't eat eggs because they feel those eggs are to become chickens. Evolution-apes are vegetarians yet we know that cavemen ate animals. How did vege eating apes evolve into meat eating humans?

...if he could see how right wing nuts have hijacked Christianity in the name of bigotry, narrow-mindedness, and homophobia?

...if he could see how religion has been used to justify untold violence, hatred, war, and misery?

I think it would make him sick.

I see that in many schools how religious shirts depicting Jesus are banned yet you can see headbanger wearing shirts that have satanic stuff all over it. Should that be banned too since satanic images are religious too? Or should we keep the double standard?

Scientist paint a gloomy picture of the earth and man´s future.

They say carbon dioxide and other air pollution is collecting in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the sun's heat and causing the planet to warm up.

But here is the good news. The Bible says:

"there will be a time of peace, prosperity and stability, when the earth will burgeon forth anew, the lion will lie down with the lamb, and the goat will give suck to the tiny bee."

I say the bible has got it right again. Surely this is the truth?

What do you think would/could happen if EACH of us would start to think and act towards "others" according to how we would like to be treated by others?

i will tell you wrong. it's part of faith that you should Fear God. As that's how God told Abraham.

read from ur Bible:

Genesis 22:12
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God.....

what do you think? is love is enough ?

Is it because the want us to worship them instead of God?.

There is a more sinister twist to the subject. To give you a clue, it is to do with making big profit by selling us cheap goods and filthy products. Am I saying too much. No, but much too little, and for the sake of children I will leave it to your vivid and healthy imagination.

What do you believe?

Ive had bad nightmares said a pray for peace, awoken after a bit in a state of highest peace to hear birds by my window at 3 am and then seen a shadow resembling a shepherd on my ceiling. Ive seen dark evil shadows enter rooms when people pray or are preaching and have seen demons when praying for others and have felt coolness on my neck where the demons fingers were trying to grab me. Has anyone out there had any encounters with the spiritual? What happened and how did you react and whats been going on since. Feel free to email me more details if you wish. Its all new to me and Im trying to learn how to develop this gifting. Thanks!

Would I be held accountable before god if I leave my wife very poor and a child to take care of?
We have a little girl who is 5 years old. If we divorce, my wife would have full custody, due to the fact I had a little run in with DCFS.

I have been thinking that it was foolish and desperate to marry. I keep regretting that we have a language barrier.
in the 6 years we have been married, she has come to learn little English. Out of the six years of marrage I have been in jail 3 of those years.

She works graveyard shift at place where they make medical equipment. I work days as a looser telemarketer.

If I leave her, she will be poor with a 5 year old to take care of.

I will be poor, I have no friends and no family. No mother, no father, or brothers or sisters.

It is always on my mind, and I lose patience and raise my voice all the time.

maybe it would be a favor for her if I leave. she could find a man who will love her better.

Seems like there's been a lot of people throughout history who had plenty of faith, and yet at no point in geological history is there evidence that a mountain was ever moved (other than its usual upward motion).

Surely there's been at least one time when a faithful person wanted to move a mountain...

Willys cynical thought for the fugging day;

Remember everybody; this is life no one can freaking get out of it alive!

Three friends -- two straight guys and a gay guy -- and their significant others were on a cruise. A tidal wave came up and swamped the ship; they all drowned, and next thing you know, they're standing before St.Peter.

First came one of the straight guys and his wife. St. Peter shook his head sadly. "I can't let you in. You loved money too much. You loved it so much, you even married a woman named Penny."

Then came the second straight guy. "Sorry, can't let you in, either. You loved food too much. You loved to eat so much, you even married a woman named Candy!"

The gay guy turned to his boyfriend and whispered nervously, "It doesn't look good, Richard." BWAAAHAHAHA You do know what Richard's nick-name is?

Ok, ok I know before Jesus you had to offer up animal sacrifices to atone for your sin (even though that is completely untrue IE the book of Job and Ester), but lets say for one second that is true. That explains what the Jews did. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repentance#The_view_of_the_Biblical_prophets

So what about the other 99% of the world?

What about the simple farmer in China 2,500 years ago? If I am correct he was saved by being a good person (and maybe recognizing that there is a Creator). So if that was fine then why should it not be now? Why is that simple farmers descendants now condemned to hell just for doing the same thing that his ancestor did? If you ask me it sounds cruel to “change the rules” and make a faith based requirement for salvation where one did not exist before.

But what say you?
