Take a look at the amazing universe all around you - The galaxies, stars and planets... the beauty of mountains and trees and everything that lives, grows and breathes on the Earth. No sane person believes that the great complexity of the natural universe in general and living organisms in particular could just exist fully formed with no cause and no origin.
So, how can any sane person possibly believe that all this amazing complexity is sourced in an intelligent designer who *himself* just exists fully formed with no cause and no origin? That would be completely absurd. The only possible explanation is that the universe had a natural origin, and that the order and complexity we observe in the universe has arisen over billions of years from disorder and chaos by the effect of unthinking, undirected natural processes. Science, in the form of cosmology and biology, shows us that this is indeed the case.
The idea of a creator god has no explanatory value - It is intellectual laziness, a non-answer, not a solution to the question of existence but a way of avoiding the question. It should and will be consigned to history along with all our other naive superstitious beliefs.

I think everyone questions the existance of God at one time or another. It doesn't mean they don't believe. But when you look at all the things going on in the world, it's very easy to fall into despair and wonder why God would let all of these things happen.
Being a Christian isn't as easy and rosy as people would believe. There are no magic potions to make life easier. You know you are saved by the blood of Christ. But you still have to live in this world until God calls you home.
Pray for peace. Serve others. Love one another as you love yourself. Live as the Lord would have you live.

umm.. as far back as I remember,I could not image a world without God. He has always been my source of refuge. And trust me I have gone thru a lot of pretty awful ,painful experiences even as a little girl. And I always knew He was with me. Always! I may have walked away from Him sometimes, but He never left me. So. no I never question that there is a God. He lives inside my heart.

All the time, ever since I was a little kid, trying to figure out the whole existence thing. I was labeled 'the atheist' by people in my family because of all my questions (a first grade teacher complained to my parents about all the questions I asked). I found that the overwhelming majority of those who had 'faith' just refused to let their minds go there, and instead just tried to accept a thought system that would avoid the pain of questioning.

I think everyone has questions at times. If we say we have never questioned the existence of God, are we being totally honest with ourselves? There's no way we could ever hide our questions from Him.
From great questions come great faith.

No. Never. It is because my God is proved. God is love in my religious philosophy, and to doubt God would mean to doubt that people ever experience what we call "love". They do, of course. And God IS, of course.

No. Never. That is like questioning weather I really am my mother's son. It is like looking at my lovely wife of 10 years and wondering if she really is my wife. It is as if I looked into the mirror and said,"Who are you?"
