no religion is better than the next. religion is all about perception and what we are used to. my religious belief is that there is one God and we pray to that God in different ways, giving us the different religions thus making no one religion better than the next.

Truthfully, that is a good question. Why is my religion, which is Christianity, better than another belief system? This is an important question that people should seriously consider, no matter what their beliefs are. Christians, bear with me; this will work out by the time I'm done.

Most of the major religions basically apply the same concepts of doing good, not doing bad, trying to be a better person. There are differences and exceptions, of course, but by and large they are very similar in those views.

The difference, what makes a person chose their faith, is what they feel. By this I mean do they truly have faith in what they are professing to believe. Does it affect them, make them realize that this is the right thing for them. Do they recieve, in some way, confirmation that what they are following is the one and true faith to get them the desired result. This is part of how a person can evaluate if they are following truth or not.

Christians experience that. If a person is truly a Christian, having accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and truly understand and believe the full ramifications of that, they will know that they are right. God communicates with us in a way that really cannot be described, at least not by me. I have no doubt that I am right, and others that I have talked to agree. There is a certainty, a feeling of confidence. We know that to be the Holy Spirit who has entered into us and regenerated our once dead spirit. When you are alive on the inside things are just different.

Now to some, that is just going to be some religious mumbo jumbo that means nothing. Some will think or even say that I couldn't answer the question. Fine. Others will understand that I have answered the question.

What it comes down to is faith and belief. I believe that if a person truly goes about the business of finding out the truth, and sincerely searches for what is the one answer, they will find God Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ.

My religion bases it's entire beliefs, standards for conduct and organizational procedures on the teaching of the Bible. We do not change God's Commands according to what is popular. Nor do we have paid clergy or a clergy class. We are united world wide, we all have the same teachings from the bible. There are no social, economic distinctions. We are all politically neutral and have given our allegiance to God's Kingdom[Matt 24:14] [Matt 6:9,10] By voluntary contributions as was true with the early Christians our evangelizing work is accomplished. No collections are ever taken at our meetings nor do we solicit money from the public. We follow Jesus command given at Matt 28:19,20 and look forward to the fulfillment of Dan. 2:44 and Ps.37:10,11
I studied the Bible for 5 years prior to making a dedication and have continued my studies for almost 28 years as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I do not believe my religion is "better" but I do belive that it teaches the real truths of the Bible.

Nothing.. I don't have a religion. I have some beliefs but not a religion and my beliefs are for me only. I expect no one else to follow them.

Mine gives out small wafers and only has a 10% tithe! That's just great savings compared to some protestant branches for entrance into the same heaven.

Also, hot girls at the youth group!

That I pray to the one and only real God in Heaven, son Jesus.

I don't have a problem with religion, I could drop it like a bad habit.

I don't belong to a religion.
I am a Christian.
We follow the one and only God who created the universe and saved us from Satan (a fallen angel who wanted to be ruler of the universe) by sending His son for us to die for our sins.
It's not a religion, it's a faith, a belief, a way of life.
:)

The fact that the Lord is with me and has never left me. I can feel His presence when I pray to Him and I have peace and joy that can't really be explained in words. It has to be experienced to know what it's like.
