You know what I don't understand...I don't understand why it ok for a gay person to be "out" and tell the whole world about it....I don't understand why its ok for people to rant and rave about politics and thats ok....but let someone say they Love Jesus and how much Jesus loves them and we are craming religion down their throat. Quite frankly I do not like the word religion....I'm a follower of Jesus Christ because he took all my sin on the cross so that I may have communication w/ my Heavenly father and so that I may go to heaven. When I hear bashing things about Jesus its like your putting him on the cross all over again. He LOVES everyone....maybe you should ask a christian to explain the love of Jesus to you....instead of just bashing them and not being open to views other than your own.

For instance, many people say they are Christians and mean different things by it (hense all the controversy over what is a 'true Christian.' I even hesitate to tell people that I'm an atheist because even though I know it just means I don't believe in any gods people tag a whole lot of other baggage (much of it negative) onto the term.

I've even considered myself a Buddhist cause I can really go a long way with Buddhist teachings though I don't believe in reincarnation and karma (beyond this life anyway). But if I said to people that I was Buddhist they would assume that I believe all of that . . .

Most of the time I don't care if people know what I believe, but sometimes it just comes up in conversation and you want to express where you are in your worldview.

Anyone else face this issue?

in genesis, god saw it as ok because the two daughters didn't have any other suitable man to 'go in unto them', so they got dad drunk for two nights so each could have a turn with pa (and yes, daddy was too drunk to remember) because they needed to get pregnant and populate the new land.

Why is it that when anyone asks a question about something a little taboo (for example homosexuality or masturbation) someone always says something to the effect of 'believe in jesus as your savior' or something like that? And don't say to me as an answer that 'I haven't accepted jesus Christ as my lord and savior', because I don't give a ****. Tell me please, why believing in Jesus is more important than anything else? Why do crazy religious Christians believe that good people who don't believe in Jesus are going to hell, and bad people who do are going to heaven? If that is your 'lord and savior', he's a ******* dumbass. I apologize if i offend anybody, because I am not lashing out at religion, I am lashing out at crazy orthodox religious crusaders who make illogical claims that nobody wants to hear. Be Christian, I don't care, but don't thrust your religion onto other people unless they ask for it.

Just read that an Indian restaurant in Mumbai has changed its name from Hitler's Cross at the request of the small Jewish community in India and after complaints from Israel. Do you think this was right?

Many times I've asked what do people want to know about God. I get so many pagans who, despite the sincerety of my question, leave ignorant responses. I feel for them; for their thousand year sentence will be severe. And I can't help but to wonder about them that have turned their back on God; siting reasons that, if you truly look at what their complaint is, you can tell that they've not truly studied the Holy Word of God. I just can't help but to wonder.

Tell me if this is true. From my talking to older men I think that it flatters them and makes them feel young and handsome. Am I right ? Corrrect me if Im wrong but I think it makes them feel happy and maybe even makes them have hope and inspiration to hold tighter to their youth and go on and think young ? Am I right when I say I have this mild power of influence to enchant them ? It seems so....they smile so sweetly and seem to get happier by the minute as I listen to them and show Im genuinely interested..It can be non sexual and a true blessing from God....read this scripture that follows

And how do I get them back?

I know many believers say that God is the answer when the answer isn't apparent (e.g. "intelligent design theory"). If this is indeed the case, God must have my keys. I haven't seen them in a week and have absolutly no idea where they are. I think my predicament meets all the standards for the "God must have done it" theory.

Your thoughts?

I know there's alot of hateful atheists out there that want to blame Christianity for the majority of wars, but consider what Jesus taught, and what a TRUE Christian SHOULD be. Then, if you answer "Christian", clarify if you are talking about Christians faithful to Jesus' teachings, or chrishems that talk the talk, but don't walk the walk, you know; Catholics, Jehovah's Nitwits etc.

Short list of the major religions:
Pagans/Wiccans
Atheists (a belief system, very much a religion, unlike agnosticism)
Muslims
Christians
Budhists
Hindus

Why is it that Atheists can be happy in their choice not to believe in a God, but Christians seem to base much of their happiness on their beliefs?
