do you think the stuff about the age of really really really old men in the bible is measured in 365-day year? when i read somewhere that the nose and the ears dont stop growing, how long will a 900 year old's nose grow? or am i wrong with the nose/ears part?

All the really old folks in the Bible were around before the flood, and it has been proposed that the climate change afterward was severe enough to shorten humans' lifespans tremendously, so yes, it could be a literal 365 day year. I'm not even going to guess about the big honkers.

I do believe they are talking about literal years in reference to the age of men. For instance, for 8 people to build the entire Ark of Noah with primitive tools as well as collect all the animals would have taken quite a long time. You should also note though, that at one point God changed the lifespan of men so they wouldn't live for quite so long. To do this, one would imagine some sort of biological change would have to take place, so I don't believe that modern comparison of DNA deteriation or the growth of body parts would be an accurate comparison. Also understand, the people who lived for such a long time, were quite close to the original gene pool. When God created Adam and Eve, they possessed every possible gene (minus mutation) that would be needed for later humans to possess. Once that gene pool started to thin out through many many generations, it could very well have cut down on our biological lifespan.

How long would people live on a perfect earth?

All the harmful radiation of the sun blocked by an ice canopy.

Perfect nutrients in the soil replenished by the river that flowed out of Eden.

The vegetation and trees bearing fruit had optimum conditions to produce as God intended them.

Nobody needed to eat animals before the flood).

The average life-span was 911 years.

Who cares how long the noses grew, plastic surgery was a growth industry back then!

I believe in reincarnation, so mabe their age is the sum of all their lives on earth before they broke free from the wheel of rebirth.

Why worry about this stuff. It is irrelevant to our lives today.
Just one question--Is your nose still growing?
