...if he could see how right wing nuts have hijacked Christianity in the name of bigotry, narrow-mindedness, and homophobia?

...if he could see how religion has been used to justify untold violence, hatred, war, and misery?

I think it would make him sick.

I have always thought that Jesus cringes every time he hears a right wing nut say something narrow-minded in his name. And as Christians we should keep his name out of it when we spout off our opinion about anything.

I think it is horrible how the "Moral Right" have twisted things. I believe in God, Jesus, and The Bible, but I am also a Liberal. I have been saying since the 2000 Presidential elections it seems like Carl Roves strategy was to make a vote against the Republicans a vote against Jesus, Baseball, Apple Pie Chevrolet, and America. Guess what the 'Christians" fell for it in 2000 and in 2004

Both parties would make Him sick.

Homosexuality is spoken against in the Bible though. Homophobia is a nonsense term that doesn't apply to probably 3/4 of the people its used on.

There people maybe some who deny him, use bigotry, narrow mindedness and what ever else they choose. Take heed you people who blasphemy again God, He too will deny you when the time comes. He made no wars....the people have..... in this day and time.

I respect your opinion, simply because you have one... But I have to say, the way in which you are painting conservatives as "right wing nuts" is a bit aggressive, to say the least. I happen to be Republican, and avoid using religion, particularly Christianity, whenever I encounter a political discussion. However there are those who do use religion to back their beliefs, but who's to say they are wrong? In that case, who's to say you're right? Religion is all a matter of opinion, and how you choose to perceive it. Therefore, people should be free to use it however they feel just.

True, but if the biblical Jesus actually exist, he would also noticed how many people are really good in their hearts and help others. This go for all religions. There's always bad things in the name of religions, but you also have to focus on the good things too. People working together in harmony, open minded, and open to all regardless of race, creed, religion and sexual orientations.

He's crying over us, but, interceding for us with His Father like He has done ever since the beginning of time.
What are YOU doing to dry His tears?

He does see and I know it sickens Him when people misuse His name and message for their own personal agenda. Biblically speaking, we cannot ignore certain truths of the Bible just because a idiot quotes it.

Great question. . . .I think Mohammed would be pulling his hair out too. I think the two of them would get together and bang our heads together.
