If they are United Pentecostal or Oness Apostolics it is because they believe in One God. They believe that Jesus is God and that there is no trinity. God, Jesus and the Holy spirit are all one.

And they strongly teach that ACTS 2:38 means you are baptised in the name of Jesus and not the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, as since there is only one his name is Jesus, and you must be completly dunked under water if even a finger or toe does not go all the way under you have to do it again. If you are not baptised in this manner then you cannot go to heaven.

They believe that anyone who believes in the Trinity is not in the "Truth" and therefore cannot go to heaven.

Many of them also hold "standards" that they beleive if you do not live by, once again you cannot go to heaven. There are some standard standards, but not every chruch teachs all the same standards. IE> in some women cannot wear pants, makup, jewelry or sleaves above thier elbows or skirts/ dresses above their knees. They also cannot cut, dye, or perm their hair or swim in mixed company.

Men cannot wear anything above thier knees either and in many no shirts above the elbow. No Jewelry ect.

No going to movies or watching TV or Music other than Christian and in some certian types of Christian Music is also not accepted. Also there is no drinking of alcholoic beverages or smoking at all.

Standards have been getting lax in the last few years and some churches do some of the above and still feel they are part of the Church but are judged just as harshly by the strict churches as people not in the Pentecostal religion at all.

I hope this helps with your question and if you have anymore please feel free to contact me.

I am not sure if that is true that penecostals believe that,...... but it is written in the Bible that only by way of the son of God (Jesus) that they my receive the kingdom of Heaven. So that does not mean a certain religion, race, or denomination......it means anybody on earth who believes in Christ.

I don't think they think that. But they do seem to think they are the only ones with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, just because they speak in tongues. Alot of Christians get tangled up in doctrines, and I don't think God is that hung up on all that. He'd rather just have everyone behave and be good to each other. That's my perception, anyway.

Did they tell you that personally or better yet did God pass unto them or you some information that he didn't others? As far I know it takes faith and belief in Christ.

I'm Pentecostal and according to the bible and what I'm taught and know is that everyone has that equal opporunity to spend enternity with Christ

Because they think so.

They don't like the baps because the baps say speaking in tongues was for yesterday, not today.

They say the Catholics don't read the Bible, so they don't know anything.

They don't pay attention to the other denominations.

They do really believe that they have the only answers.
I was approached by a couple and they said if I wanted to know the truth, I should come to their church.

They didn't know to whom they were talking.
I already have the TRUTH.
I don't need any man to teach me.

I was Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in 2013 and I believe it helped me LOVE Jesus more. The Pentecostal Church I have just left believes that there are six steps to Salvation, 1. Believe in Jesus Christ 2. Confess our sins 3.repent of our sins 4. Be Baptized in Jesus name 5. Receive the Holy Ghost 6. Endure till the end. Now the reason I left is because the Preacher and members were preaching as if they are the only way to Jesus and Heaven and there are only 600,000 of them in North America and 2,300,000 in the World. I love a lot of People Suzanne my Love of my Life, a Sister and Family, a Brother and Family, Children and Family, Chaplains, and Preachers , and many others, that Pentecostals really believe are going to BURN in HELL forever. I found myself heading down the road to hell these last four years because the preassure becomes so intense that I go get drunk and gamble and commit adultery because I feel like it is impossible for the Pentecostals to be correct and impossible for the LOVIG God Fearing People that are not Pentecostals not to be with Jesus Christ when they go to Sleep.

They don't think that. I'm not a Pentecostal, but I have friends who are. They don't think that. You are misinformed.

Larry, such language! You don't sound Christian at all!

This is a common perception of just about all religions that I have encountered, including Christians. I believe that God is the only one who may judge us on that one. Somewhere in the Bible it says, "Who are you to judge another man's slave? To his own master he either stands or falls." Jesus is our Master. Only He may judge us righteously.
