I see that in many schools how religious shirts depicting Jesus are banned yet you can see headbanger wearing shirts that have satanic stuff all over it. Should that be banned too since satanic images are religious too? Or should we keep the double standard?

What you consider "satanic," such as a pentacle, may not be. Also, the intent is to promote a band, not a religion.

I've never heard of Jesus shirts being banned unless *every* T-shirt with writing or pictures on it is banned, but if the headbangers (do people still use that word?) can wear their T-shirts, surely the Bible Club kids should be able to as well.

I'm Pagan and like that I can wear my pentacle to work and on the street now; I wore little cross earrings in high school, too, and would support the right of today's teens to do the same.

Okay, so the schools can't TEACH religion, but why should it be that the students have to HIDE their religion? And yes, the double standard needs to go. There's no reason satanists should be able to wear their stuff if Christians can't.
I can understand not letting teachers TEACH religious material, but I don't understand why students should have to hide their beliefs. In the real world (stores, playgrounds, etc.) students are going to see people wearing religious stuff. So are these atheist parents gonna lock their kids in the house to keep them from being exposed to God? Of course not. If the students want to show their beliefs, they should be allowed to do so.....there's plenty of NEGATIVE peer pressure, so why not put some POSITIVE peer pressure out there?
Another reason why I homeschool. I'll be d@mned if anyone will tell my kids what they can wear.

Where on earth do you live? Anything religious (what the kids wear) have not and never will be banned here (bible belt) I can't imagine the schools going that far EVER, ANYWHERE. Perhaps something may be misunderstood. Heck the principal here still prays (sorta) and does some moral teachings that could borderline be classified as religious. NOBODY complains and the kids appreciate it.

I think that religious shirts being banned is very satanic, little do they know. No religious shirts should be banned unless they are offensive to other religions. If they discard these shirts, then the satanic ones should be banned as well. It's only fair this way.

It does happen, but less often than you might think. When it does happen, there are advocates that you can go to, and they will insure your right to wear the shirt.

These organizations provide free legal counsel and representation of Christians (and some others occasionally) who have their first amendment rights trampled:

Thomas More Law Center
Christian Liberty Society
American Center for Law and Justice
Christian Legal Society
The Rutherford Institute
Alliance Defense Fund
Pacific Justice Institute

These organizations, and others like them, will defend your rights in court, if necessary.

I believe in the first amendment. An that means that I feel we should be able to express our beliefs all to a certain lvl. Now..... I feel that religious shirts should be allowed because that is an expression of who you are and what your life morals are based off of. Most people judge you by how you dress. So let them were there devil shirts and there Jesus shirts. Express who you are and what you are.

Actually, in my high school, religious shirts were aloud, but not shirts showing anything that could even remotely be considered "evil."

I think if they are going to ban religious insignia, they should also ban military insignia.
