Think about it, in Wicca groups you get tied up and slaped around, and if you try to leave one they try to destory you,

That's just crazy. I don't think you've done any research on this. A good coven treats you with respect and never harms anyone. I am 19, so I don't think that fits me in the middle-aged, or the social misfit category, since I have many friends and I am not what anyone would call a misfit, freak, or anything of that order. Furthermore, just because you are a little different, doesn't make you a bad person! We are all different, that's what makes the world different and not boring!

I have been in many covens and I have never been threatened or felt in danger.
Social misfits, I'll agree with that to an extent. After all, the average American Bourgeois would have great difficulty taking off all their clothes in mixed company.
Thankfully I am not middle aged yet. Wiccans come in all ages. All are welcome.

I've left a number of covens and never had any problems. I maintained friendships within all of them. But then again I was very careful before I joined a coven. I take the love and trust thing very seriously.

I don't think so!!! I have no idea where you have gotten your information on covens but someone told you a story and you have been foolish enough to repeat it and make an embarrassment of yourself. Please get informed or keep silent.
