free will, the right to choose between good and evil. Alas, some choose evil, thus evil exists.

Or would you rather have a god make the decisions for you?

That is, did you choose your method of living based on your faith? Please note, faith here is pretty broad. I'd enjoy reading the opinions of the whole spectrum from atheists to whatever.

And why does the Vatican conspire to keep this knowledge from us? Who profits from the deceit?

A boy was talking to god, and he asked god what a million years was like, and god replied, "a second". Then the boy asked what a million dollars was like, and god replied, "a penny". So then the boy asked, "can i have a penny?" god replied with, "sure, just a second."

Just because it is not physical doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. God says that he never changes and niether does his laws. A non physical eternal thing that comes from the spiritual world is math. Since God's laws do not change, that explains why 1+1 will always equal 2. If God wanted to change laws which he won't then God can make 1+1 equal 10 and still have it be right. Spiritual world I believe is the world that consist of universal concepts, and I am sure that there is more to it than that. I feel that the spiritual world is more real than the physical world we live in now. The physical world is just a reflection of the higher physical world. May God bless you all.

HAVE SOME SERIOUS ANIMOSITY AGAINST US.

PLEASE,DON'T SAY NASTY THINGS TO ME!!!

I AM ONLY TELLING YOU HOW I FELT WHEN I WALKED INTO YOUR CHURCH.

ALL I'M SAYING IS THAT YOU WHITE PEOPLE NEED TO BE MORE SENSITIVE TO OUR FEELINGS.

I ADMIT I'M AN ATHEIST,BUT THIS DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT YOU WHITE PEOPLE NEED TO MAKE US FEEL MORE RECEPTIVE WHEN WE VISIT YOUR CHURCH.

I'm a Jew, and I have many many christian friends. I don't want to bring up the discussion with them, and I hope that the christians here can answer my questions about the discrepancies i find in christianity. I'm just trying to educate myself about other religions.

1) How is worshipping a man not against the 10 commandments which claim that you are an idol worshipper for worshipping anything except for the God that you cannot see. The Old Testament claims that God should have no face.

2) How can christianity change so much? I'm wondering how the Pope can one day decide that God no longer hates Jews, and they can go to heaven now.

3)I've had Christians come to me and say that Christianity has a loving and forgiving God and Judaism has a Scornful God. However, Judaism doesn't taunt Hell over the heads of its followers to get them to fear and follow God or go to hell.

4) How can christianity be about love if it hates gays?

5)How can there be a father, a son, and a holy ghost? more..

Time for that age old question again. Is there a God or is relegion just a crutch for the weak willed who have no believe in themself? For if there is a God, creator or whatever, and we are taught he loves us as his children, what sort of father would allow these things to happen? And if there is a God, whose God is right anyway? So many religions, so many documetns yet so different. Or is it those that have a strong belief in the unknown should take a leap of faith unto themselves? Or could all the Gods of different cults and religion be just one God and we got it wrong...or is it God just haves a wicked sense of humour and is laughing at us

I read in the L.A. Times this week that half of the population of the United States believes humans were created 10,000 years ago along with everything else, contrary to what current science suggests. As an informal poll, do you believe in creationism or evolution? (Those fence-riders who go somewhere in between may voice an opinion, but be on notice that your vote won't count.)

Follow up question: does this statistic sound accurate to you?

Joseph almost certainly laboured under performance anxiety, don't you think? God's are mighty shoes to fill. Some religious sisters actually believe that "once you go God, baby, you never go back."

Me, I'd welcome the challenge. I wouldn't mind going second best in the universe to the Big Almighty. And a close second at that, I'll bet. I got skills.

Most of them preach the same message but in a different way. I was born Roman Catholic, raised Roman Catholic, and went to a Roman Catholic college preperatory school. After high school, I started to question my beliefs (1998) and ever since I have half-joined different sects including hardcore Evangelists and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). I don't want to go to hell for choosing the wrong one and sticking with it. I am very spiritual and I although I don't want to stray from Christianity, I don't believe people who believe in other religons...other gods...are going to go to hell, but I do obsess over the fact that I might if I don't choose the right Christian sect. I know that sounds kind of weird.

No one has ever EVER (no italics so I'm using caps, I'm not being angry) stated that we came from monkeys with any scientific knowledge. Monkeys and humans both evolved from a common ancestor, saying we evolved from monkeys is like saying your fifth cousin twice removed gave birth to you. No, we are both primates and that is about the biggest similarity between us. I just don't like the question "If we came from monkeys how come the other monkeys didn't evolve!?"

I asked a similar question awhile ago and I didn't know all the details and admittedly looked a little dumb, but I've read the modern synthasis of the theory since and see where I was wrong. Everyone should read the modern theory before they bash evolution, it makes almost too much sense to be a theory anymore.

PS,
A religious publication is the worst possible place to get information on the subject. It is a biased source and so should be discreditted. If you're going to read about it read it from an objective source.

And for that matter, if he died, then when was he born?? I don't think these people are referring to Jesus Christ, God the Son. But, I would certainly like to know what they are getting at. If you are atheist, isn't it easier to say, "there is no god," rather than "God is dead???"
