Don't know why not. After all, a woman wants a physical lover more than some astral parasite planting a seed. It's all well and good to dance the nasty on the astral plane; it's another to have warm flesh and blood holding you and talking about the future together. People need people to relate to, especially women, as I'm sure you know.
God might have been in her thoughts, but Joseph was in her bed and the father of the rest of her children. What do you think?

Joesph isn't God by any means. He's not even the physical father of Jesus!
And if you think Mary is all powerful or anything, sorry to burst your bubble.
They are only as powerful/holy as any other human can become who follows God. And I don't know much about Joesph, but I don't recall any statements about his great faith and love in the bible.
