Remember: Jesus $aves!

I like your pun: good job!

During the Middle Ages (and since the beginning of Christianity) it was not believed that an individual could "choose" salvation. They believed that only God could elect people for salvation. The only debate that occurred was if God made his election before or after the Fall of Man.

Anyway, traditionally, Christians knew that just because one was Christian didn't mean that she or he was going to heaven. There was actually a lot of anxiety at the time about this. Only God could elect people for salvation, and he would give them grace, thus giving that person a pass to heaven.

You dont have to find Him, Our Lord, if you are one of his sheep, He will find you.

It is written however, "seek the Lord, while He still can be found," so there must come a time when you no longer can seek him with all your heart.

Well, according to Christians, YOU are the one who is lost, and YOU have to find Jesus.
Kind of like Where's Waldo?.

You dont have to "find" Jesus, He never left. Finding yourself usually is the best place to start.
