I'm not a conservative, but it seems like, according to Twain, they are basing their policy off of the liberal's trash....

The meaning of the words liberal and conservative have changed in the last 150 years. Liberal was more of an idealist, free-thinker, intellectual, fighting for liberty, doing the right thing.
Now, liberals are killing the US with a defined platform that reduces the wealth and the freedom of the US.
Conservatives are trying to get back to the liberal ideal Mark Twain spoke of.

Mark Twain also once said that God made man because He was disappointed with the ape. So an atheist, a famous one at that, has also helped make our point against evolution.
Even though Sam Clemens always showed contempt for church and Christians, I still like him. I do hope he's not burning.
