Most of them aren't. People just tend to go where they are more comfortable, whether that means an all white/black church or otherwise.

They are actually not really segragated. The reason people think that is easy and I will explain.
I come from a white town. It may sound like a racist town, however it actually isn't at all. See we've had some blacks and other races move in here before. However since not many people ever really seen somebody who isn't white before they would often get a second look in our town. Eventually the people of different races feel uncomfortable with this. Like I said, we are not racist, just it's a shock to the town to see somebody of a different race. The first experience I had with another race was an extreme shock to me in the Army around the age of 24.
Now back to your question. People feel comfortable in there own groups and churches. If you grew up going to an all white church, and you stayed in that area you would probably continue to go to that church. You ussually have your favorite seat and everything else. This goes the same with all races. You go to what you are use to. You hang out with people you normally hang out with, ect. ect.
Think about it, who are your friends; people you work/worked with, went to school with, family, ect. Not "normally" somebody you had a choice in meeting.

sturdy question. i'm no longer positive, yet listed right here are some concepts I easily have. even with the very undeniable actuality that the workplace is more desirable integrated, neighborhoods are nevertheless very segregated noticeably at the same time as it comprises blacks and whites. that is authentic that there are "diverse" neighborhoods, yet that often skill whites and asians, or a blend of white/asian and some latinos. Even in those diverse neighborhoods that is authentic that church homes are segregated. it sort of feels that beliefs and attitudes about finding out on a church are deeply ingrained, so someone would have a convenience factor going to lunch sometimes with someone from yet another "race", yet will be very uncomfortable with a minister from yet another ethnic team, or worshiping side through side with human beings of a diverse race. per chance because church homes are like extensions of households, and an excellent form of racism receives exceeded down from era to era. i became invited to a pal's church once, for a particular Sunday service at the same time as the church hosted yet another congregation. My pal's church is rather black (their kin is interracial) and the vacationing congregation became white. human beings appeared to earnings from the replace and it became the conception of both ministers who were colleagues and pals who had attended an same divinity college. The church had a buffet dinner after the service, and at the same time as there have been some transformations in traditions (nutrition, form of making a music, and so on) shall we see that the transformations were superficial . the perfect aspect about the particular service became that absolutely everyone shared an same values as Christians and that became what mattered maximum. it really is really uncommon, and it sort of feels clone of this form of small step that could want to replace human beings's perceptions steadily.

I don't know what churches you have been to, but the churches I attend are not like that at all. Churches are easy targets for alot of bad things, and christians in general too. But as christians we should all accept people for who they are as humans regardless of age or race or anything else. Thats not just religion talking, thats the whole human race. All people are loved by God, well, the only God I know to be true at least, and all people should strive to acheive that in their own lives. Maybe you should try some different churches!!
