because the bible was written by people that believed the world was flat.if you want to be thaught stuff that isn't true you can go to bible school it is higher learning for morons that can't comprehend a world with free will. and the kiddies that believe we need a god to protect us from the devil I say you need help and not from a god from a shrink. the bible is a cruel book full of things that helped to keep man down instead of realizing his destiny.god sucks the big one,BANG !

I'm a Christian, and agree on how faith is all we really need. But without science, there would be no doctors, no one to find the cures that God made available to find. No one would know the basics of the human body. There would be no veternarians either. SO no one would know how to heal your pet dog, cat, or bird, or a wild animal. there are miracle healings, but God also made us to think progressively, and compasionately. With out medicine, some people would cease to have any sort of quality of life. There would be no anibacterial soaps, disinfectants, and so on. Science is a needed study in the world. And besides, not all people believe in God or Jesus. There are other religions. Thats what makes why we Americans came to this land. For the right to worship any religion we want to with out persicution and with out some one forcing thier religion down our collective throats. If you want your children to learn from the bible at school, then you should put your children in a Christian school, thats what they are there for. But, if you've ever visited one, you'll find they also teach science.

considering this united states grew to develop into so multi nationality it has to do the right element via the visitors and by no ability via the people of this united states. Now i'm not prejudiced yet when I went to a muslim united states i recognize for a undeniable reality that they could by no ability supply up celebrated ead, yet right here in this christian united states we've abruptly had to take Santa Claus off the vacationing colleges record and no Easter Bonnet parades anymore etc, Its incorrect, incorrect I inform you. you come to this united states understanding what it truly is so how dare they eliminate our lifestyle. Years in the past we had to line up for an afternoon earlier yule to get bread & milk because the branch shops were all close, yet now the asians don't have fun yule so they are open. similar with easter. quickly we won't be able to have an Australia day in case it offends too a lot of people. Its bl..dy ridiculous. i might want to flow by way of their way of existence if I ever lived in a overseas united states & would not anticipate something a lot less so what the hell is incorrect with our authorities? Praying became taken off the record of issues allowed in school and the point out of god or religions also except its a non secular college. i am going to't understand why we ought to regulate our regulations yet different international places stay an analogous. If we went to Pakistan we are predicted to positioned on a headscarf and canopy up and if we do not they could kick us out, so what's the flow right here ?

Without science you wouldnt even be able to read a Bible because the means to print multiple copies of text was developed thru science. You wouldnt be able to get to a church more than 1-3 miles from your home in less than an hour unless there were vehicles. (More science). No lights to help you read all about God at night without science. Almost no one would be living much past about 53 years old....without science.
Science is mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology, geography, architecture, history, and more. Without science there would be no means to build either schools or churches. No roads to get to them, no wheels for our carts, and certainly no computers.
Tell ya what. YOU go to a world where the Bible supplies all the answers, I'll stay in this one.

I come from a country were religion was thaught in school. Yet I still ended up a" free thinker. I hope my kids will learn about different religions and evolution. But I think since they are being raised nondenominational they would pick that class (Religion) as one to skip. They all at a go at bible school and know I will leave the adult choice up to them. But they know they better don't come home preaching to me.

Now, you know this is inflammatory. All things must be taught so that people can make up their own minds. Frankly, I believe the Bible is a bunch of nonsense and was made up by mankind to keep people in line. There is no God, no Devil, no heaven or hell. Science and evolution are what I put my beliefs in, but everyone is entitled to their own viewpoint..

You go to Church if you want to learn about the Bible, you go to school for science. Technically, there is a school for the Bible, it's your church. Without science, we go back to believing the sun is magic and the world is flat, like the people who wrote the Bible.

Because without science...you wouldnt have a computer to ask this stupid and idiotic question...and this comes from a faithful Christian.
You probably also want a stagnant civilization without creativity or technology (The Bible teaches us about how to live lives...not make tools or gadgets silly.)...so get out of Yahoo! Q&A and live with your Amish friends who also choose to reject technology. (though they dont impose it on others - unlike you)

Well a lot of people are trying to make that happen. I don't think we should choose what our children should be taught. If parents want their children to learn the Bible they should send them to bible study. i think we should give children all the information we can and let them choose for themselves what to follow. Also, science does not just include evolution. They need to be taught all areas, geology, chemistry, biology etc to get ahead in this world.

The alternative is to end up like Sodom and Gomorrah.
(Genesis 19:24) "Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven."
We seem to have plenty of sodomizing around these days... a little more gomorrahizing and you can all kiss your kiesters good-bye. But at least the brimstone will be a nice warm-up for Hell, sinners!
