9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:9 (NKJV)

So is it the doctrine of your church or a pastor who told you humans have free will or is that somewhere in there, in the Bible. Got a chapter or a verse where God says heh Adam its your choice.

Does vanity differ from person to person depending on how much help they need?

I would like to know does any one see God as a scientist like I do? I mean, there is no doubt that dinosaurs exsisted and there's alot of evidence to support evolution. My personal thoery is that God likes to experiment with everything. I think He has a part in evolution and as for the dinosaurs, I think He wanted to start fresh by wipping them out ( or something like that). I also think He allows certain things to happen for a reason, good and bad, plus I think He espeacially like to experiment with us ( human kind) I know this idea may sound silly but please have an open mind as I will when I read your responses. Thank you for answering.

Years ago it wasnt Ok to eat meat on Friday and now its suddenly OK?

So whos going to hell?
Is it the people who didnt eat meat on Friday or the people who do eat meat on friday?

The problem with religion is that its so vague and no one really knows what its all about. The rules seem to change more than GWB changes his underpants - which Im sure is quite often because he looks like he is constantly $hitting it!

I know several extreamly religious people and they were the most abusive parents I have ever seen, not to mention the controlling behavior that to this day they try to inflict upon their kids...do you agree, the extreamly religious are only that way because they are extreamly guilty and that is what motivates their faith?

everyone believes in something- be it God or eternal peace, or the banking system. i do not think that you can say "i just do not believe in anything". then how do you find sense in life, how do you keep your motivation? please, just tell me, do atheists just refuse to believe in God or do they just have no faith in anything?

don't you ever feel that there's a demon inside you? controlling your whole being. It's an overwhelming feeling of power inside you that waits till you're no longer able to control it.

sometimes i attract negative vibes from people, i can feel their pain and sadness. the "inner demon"- a negative force that that lives in you. it makes you feel what other's are feeling even beyond your control.

Okay. So I'm looking through Yahoo Answers today, and I'm completely amazed by what I see. An inordinate amount of questions are:

"Why are Liberals (Democrats) so dumb?"
"Why are Conservatives (Republicans) so ignorant?"
"Why are Muslims trying to kill us all?"
"Why are Christians stupid?"
"Why are Athiests so blind?"

Black, white, hispanic, gay, straight, etc... we all seem to hate someone.

Now... overlay these questions against what's taking place in North America, and the rest of the world.

Rampant bi-partisanship has brought the US to a virtual standstill from the days 40 years ago when it was developing so fast it was unstoppable, and made the world a BETTER place.

People are rabid about their religion being the one, true, 'peaceful' religion... and they'll beat the crap out of anyone who says otherwise... and as such world is on edge because various races, religions, creeds and colors have a hate-on for someone else.

I guess this question has been asked before, but I have a very specific question. My understanding is that Christians believe that if you accept Jesus Christ as your savior you'll go to heaven and if you don't you'll go to hell -- regardless of what you have done in your life. So you could've murdered and raped numerous people and if you repent and accept Jesus - you go to Heaven, but say you've done nothing but good things are your life, but simply because you don't accept Jesus Christ -- you go to hell??

My question is -- if this is really true would Christ be the type of person you want to worship? Pardon me, but it sounds to me like he's the bully on the block who's making everyone yell "uncle" to get into Heaven.

This question is not meant to bash Christianity, but to get honest, insightful answers from people who have thought about this.
