Mankind's character, may be the unmovable object, suffering God's unstopable force. Logically, either mankind will change, or God is not omnipotent. But this paradox, like all others is false. Man is changing, slowly, perhaps inperceptably, but changing for the better. I have seen this change, but it took many years to see...

because for one, God is all around us, in the form of the Holy Spirit. And He says He's only coming down from the sky when Jesus comes back at the end of time. And the HS works with everyone who will hear Him to stop abortion or any other kind of sin. It's a choice, though. If we choose not to have a relationship with Him (once we actually have been given that choice) eventually we won't be able to hear His voice, and we are cut off from Him. And that's a sucky place to be. We get so wrapped up in our own desire to live as we wish that we may decide to take the life of someone else to do it. Pain is terrible, and when we try to handle it ourselves (we exercise our free will), that usually just gets us more pain. Yuck! God does not allow abortions. He allows us to choose our way, and live with the consequences. Then He'll even help us deal with those.

As others have said the reason he doesn't is that it would violate our free-will. God has given us humans dominion over the earth - it is up to us what we will do with it.
God desire's to have the kindgom of God on earth but it will be done by God working through each of us. Of course, this is not currently the case but this planet could turn around and will turn around when each of us understands that we were meant to me extensions of and co-creators with God.
However, it always remains our choice is this will happen or if we will choose to live in the illusion of seperation from God with all its myriad problems and woes - one of them being abortion

Remember Free Willy?
I don't know what whales with mutant fins have got to do with anything...but that is the answer people keep on giving..
So, maybe God doesn't stop abortions because Willy got set Free, and he was gonna be the one that came and stopped them..I think that is it...

A gift commonly given is a gift commonly unappreciated.
If God helped out directly too often, he woud become like the Divine fruitcake, or the Holy Socks, or the Sanctified tie.

Since God is responsible for spontaneous abortions, stillbirths and fetuses so badly deformed they die shortly after birth, why should he have a strenuous objection to abortion?

Because stopping the horror of abortion is our responsibility, not His.
We are the ones who created this modern-day holocaust. It's up to us to stop it.
I've never been a fan of the idea of expecting God, or the government, or whatever to do things for us. I've never been a big fan of abdicating our responsibilities to "Big Brother," in whatever form "Big Brother" comes.

people have free will.
but don't you dare for one moment not believe that those tiny babies aren't with our Lord, with His arms wrapped around them, loving them more than anyone down here could ever imagine.
Imagine killing someone like Einstein, or someone that could have found a cure for aids.. or or or...
so easy is it to lay on their backs with their legs spread.. enjoying the moment.. and Oh! Pregnant!
Well, what the heck did both of you expect..

Time to get off that old thing, don't you think.
On and on it goes. I'm sick of hearing about it.
Will you stop with the abortion thing!
Get off it.
If He isn't willing to stop it, why are you so concerned?
If He isn't willing to put a stop to great cults of the world, why are you so concerned?
If He isn't willing to stop the wars in the world, why are you so concerned?
Because you are not!
Gotcha...

Because of people like you, God thinks its funny to punish the rest of us.
Im just kidding, but honestly, what are you gaining by asking this question? The sarcasm isnt helpful, its wasting your time and everyone who takes it seriously.
