Luke 12:49-53
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Matt 10:37
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Matt 19:29
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Matt 12:30
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Luke 19:27
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Matt 13:40-42
As therefore the tares (weeds) are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Forget Anton Lavey, and stupid Salem Burke. The real Church of Satan is located directly in Washington D.C (The White House). Yes, our patriotic forefathers(Jefferson, Franklin and etc....) are cohorts of an ancient conspiracy known as the illumanti . This ancient group has one agenda: control. The worlds most powerful , weathly, and influential leaders and their descendants have been plotting for millenia the most diabolical take over of man-kind the world has ever seen. The secrets of "eternal youth", "god-like power" and the like are being devised in this diabolical society with Satan at the helm. Spread the Word.

i asked this question yesterday but i got the wrong feedback of this...people said that god WOULDNT do this..but they avoided the fact that god COULDNT do this because this

ok so..they say god can do everything. WRONG

if god could do everything then could he build a rock big enough so he cant lift it?
if you think no then he cant do everything
if yes, then can he lift it?
if you say yes, then he cant build a rock big enough so he cant lift it
if you say no, then he cant do everything

that disproves everything people say about god

people said that he wouldnt do this..ok so lets go to humans...no parachute, you are standing at the top of the empire state building..you jump off with no parachute..you couldnt do that without dying..and chances are (unless ur suicidal) that you WOULDNT jump off..and you COULDNT live

I believe there are gods, you may not but that's not the point right now. I'm wondering if my not having a religion is being hypocritical to the fact that I believe in gods. I never and will never say that there connot be such a thing since something had to make even one star that later imploded and such.

Does our attempt to understanding God just get lost in the use of words.

Would God want us to feel so lost within our own ability to understand him that he would have us go in search of book/s in order to understand him.

Is there reason to think that its all really simple and we are just making it complicated.................

If truly only God existed before anything else, not even space/time, NOTHING, NADA; then everything else in existence must have emanated OUT OF God since by him creating the world, there was no other substance besides himself which he used since there was only him! Therefore, everything in the universe (stars, planets, stones etc) came OUT OF GOD!

What is your faith or religious status? I am curious to see if those with these conditions or illnesses are more likely to be of a faith or less likely. Just a curiosity.

"Christians only say that they believe in God because they don't want to be held accountable to other humans for their actions."

I f you always do what you’ve always done, then you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.
If you never do what you’ve never done, then you’ll never get what you’ve never gotten.

Christians, how do you explain the sudden conversion of the OT vengeful, murderous, vendictive, nasty god to the more friendly, forgiving god of the NT ?

Whatever about this conversion, the christian god is guilty of some pretty horrible crimes against humanity in the OT.

How can such a "god" be considered a positive influence.

Would you accept treatment and or a cure if it involved fetal research? Would you buy your life/health at the expense of another innoccent life? Serious question here. I am NOT asking if you believe in abortion or fetal research but if you would personally accept a cure or treatment derived from it. I would not but I want to know if others would.

If the divinity of Jesus as expressed in the Nicene Creed on the Holy Trinity is so central to Christian faith, then where in the Bible did Jesus EXPLICITLY claimed divinity. The foundation of Christian faith should depend on the Bible instead of blind acceptance of the interpretation of men.
