Muslims dont hate pigs its just forbidden by the Qur'an to eat pig meat, as there is a story that God cast (threw) the devil into a pig. Therefore, pork and any pork products (some types of gelatin, and lard) and even leather goods from the pig are forbidden to Muslims.

muslims do not hate pigs, but they believe that it is a sin to eat pigs. Because prophet Mohammed told his people not to eat it since at this times in Arabia, pigs used to live in very bad and dirty conditions. But Islam has not been introduced much reforms and that's why many Muslims still do not eat it.

Eating pork is forbidden not only for Muslims but also for Jews and early Christians.

In East Asia and SE Asia, pork is source of cheap protein among indigenous people and is consider low class food by some.

we dont hate them we are just not allowed to eat them, like many non-muslims eat ham, we don't because it is considerd haram, thats why muslims dont really make a big deal out of them they are not signifiacnt in our religon, for example there's the sheep this is a very sacred animal in our religon because the prophet abraham (pbuh) was asked by god to sacrifice his son and when he was willing to do it for god, god replaced his son with a sheep and abraham (pbuhh) ended up sacrificing a sheep instead which is why every eid muslims must slaughter a sheep and give the meat to people living in poor countries or share it between their neighbours. So we don't hate pigs we are just forbidden to eat them. I actually used to look after 4 ginipigs along with 3 rabbits a couple of years ago : )

Muslims don't hate pigs, they just don't eat them or any by product of them. It is because religiously it is a sin to eat of the swine. But, think about it, they do lay around in mud and crawl around in their own poop? That's really gross.

They don't hate pigs. I think they don't eat pig meat because in the past it was not healthy to have dead pig meat in such a worm environment. Because of the problem of conservation...

They just dont eat Pork b/c the pig is considered filthy. They live in dirt and at their own filthy. They believe that the soul should be clean and eating pork makes us dirty.

In Islamic and Jewish religions, you are not suppose to eat pigs or any byproducts. Many islamic dos and donts were taken from the Jewish religion

we just think that Pork is unclean, which i believe alot of Religions also believe. their are scientific facts as to y pork is harmful to ur health. we just want to be healthy.
