i asked this question yesterday but i got the wrong feedback of this...people said that god WOULDNT do this..but they avoided the fact that god COULDNT do this because this

ok so..they say god can do everything. WRONG

if god could do everything then could he build a rock big enough so he cant lift it?
if you think no then he cant do everything
if yes, then can he lift it?
if you say yes, then he cant build a rock big enough so he cant lift it
if you say no, then he cant do everything

that disproves everything people say about god

people said that he wouldnt do this..ok so lets go to humans...no parachute, you are standing at the top of the empire state building..you jump off with no parachute..you couldnt do that without dying..and chances are (unless ur suicidal) that you WOULDNT jump off..and you COULDNT live

To me, god is just a created imaginary image for people to rely on. When something bad happened, they have someone to blame on "Oh, is god's will". When something good happened they have someone to celebrate with them "Thanks God" so that they are not lonely themself. I am still doubtful about god assistance. I always said to my children "God can't help you, you have to help yourself". What can god do? You can pray to god day and night, nothing will happen if you don't do it yourself. Right. Everything under the sun are naturally developed and create by we human being till today. Good or Bad. We human created the world. If god really can do something, why are there so many people suffering? They pray the most and many people pray on their behalf. If there is god, why prayer not answered.
We can't rely on "God", we have to rely on ourself and family and friends around us. They are better then anything else.

Your logic is flawed sir.... lets say GOD went along with your little game and snapped his fingers and zap, a rock heavy enough that he couldn't lift... for you now to say that he can not do everything because he cannot lift the rock is erroneous of you because he did what you asked and made the rock that he cannot lift.... for him to now lift the rock would be violating the terms of the agreement he had with you in the first place, " to make a rock that he cannot lift ".... if after he made the behemoth stone and you ask him a second question, "can you now lift the stone", he is free to do so being released from the terms of the first question by the introduction of a new and second question.
Some things are true whether you want them to be or not.... GOD does exist... the very existence of everything in its complexity proves the existence of GOD.... if you see a tall building like the empire state building for instance, do you disbelieve that there was a designer because you have never seen him or her? I think not... our very existence in all our complexity screams that there is a GOD!

well about ur question about rock i can say is Allah can do anything.. and also make a rock as u mentioned but at the same time He can also make that same rock lighter than our finger nail... and i guess even ur younger brother can lift it...

Regarding ur second question... it is true that if we jump from a tall building our chances to remain alive after reaching ground is much less.. but if Allah want to save us he will definately save us... may be there is an open truck filled with cotton going from the place where we are about to fall.. there are many such incidents in this world where the chances to be saved was nill.. but yet there are survivors... if its my case i will definately not jump.. because God has given me a Brain to think... through which i can judge what is right and what is wrong....

May be your mind is set that u wont beleive God... but He is the same God who gave u logic to deny His own existence and He is the one who made up my mind to answer your question... i dont blame u.. there must be some reason behind this.. remember what Einstein said.. "God never plays a dice with this Universe" everything happens with a reason... u may be an atheist but u r made to be an atheist.. becoz there is some reason... may be the day u attain faith may be there wont be anyone in this world to have a faith as strong as u... hey i m using the word "maybe"..

As I said last time this question was asked, God can do anything that is do-able. To quote FORMER atheist Antony G.N. Flew, God cannot creat a four-sided triangle or a married bachelor.

Why would anyone expect God to do something so stupid with absolutely no purpose as making a rock He couldn't lift? Fortunately, God has common sense, which this question lacks.

and this never says it disproves god, me, as an atheist, believe its stupid to try to disprove something you dont believe exists, if you dont think its there you cant prove its not there.

Just because he doesn't, doesn't mean he can't, just means he doesn't and you can't make him if he doesn't want to. He would like you to use your time and intelligence wisely but he will not force you, if he did, you would be doing something more worthwhile with your time. Logically contradictory conditions prove nothing, they are a juvenile game to encourage abstract thought, time to move on.
