Yeah nothing happens, no God, no hell.

So I guess that means you'll HAVE TO LIVE YOUR LIFE FOR TODAY.

Now no one can say, "well no one has ever come back to tell me".

Any questions.

If I eventually believe that Jesus was our Savior, and all that fancy stuff...but decide not to read the Bible, do you think God will be pissed? The Bible turns me away from God. When I went through a "I want to be closer to God" phase, I listened to music, went to Church etc. It was...okay. and for a moment, I thought there might be a God (might is a key word). Then I started to read the Bible, and that actually made my atheist feelings stronger! In truth, I want to laugh at most of the text. The more I read, the more I had to criticize.

So the question is, since the Bible was written by MAN, it is bound to have mistakes...can I just not read the Bible. Don't kid yourselves, the Bible contradticts itself. There is no way that a story could be handed down and still be the same from what was known "originally." But Jesus supposedly had 500 witnesses see him arise or something. So that's more credible.
What do you think? Keep in mind, right now, I'm about 99.9% atheist.

Do you love the Lord with your whole heart? Do you seek Him daily? Have you entered into the throne room? Do you bask in His presence? I know you know Him, but does He know you?
Jesus said, "Depart from me for I never knew you." This scripture is for CHRISTIANS!

I would rather stop existing when I die, because an eternity of being aware is just too long. So the question is: What would you prefer the afterlife to be?

I made a mistake in my last question. I was asking because I was a practicing muslim who is no longer doing so and I am looking for a church to attend. I still believe in the prinicipals, but choose not to attend the mosque anymore. So since I do not believe in the trinity or the worshiping of Jesus because he was a prophet, I am looking for a place of worship that kinda has the same priniciples

Can I upload my soul into a database, so that if I die my soul will live on in the computer. Like, could I put it into yahoo answers, that way, my soul can ask and answer questions after I'm gone and can't come back.

Are not the words 'satan' and 'devil' used figuratively to describe the natural sinful tendencies within us? The connection between the devil and our evil desires - sin within us - is made explicit in several passages: "As the children (ourselves) are partakers of flesh and blood, he (Jesus) also himself likewise took part of the same; that through (his) death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil" (Heb.2:14). The devil is here described as being responsible for death. But "the wages of sin is death" (Rom.6:23). Therefore sin and the devil must be parallel.

Christians are shoving their religion down our throats. I't seems as though a lot of atheist seem to be upset because Christians choose to believe. They retaliate against our beliefs with arrogant, vile, rude, insensitive and blaphemous remarks. Then they take it to another level and continue to ask to Why and If questions. Whats up with that?

This one is for the athiest and the theist.
For the theist how can you beleive that you are going to be rewarded for eternity because of who you were born to become. I think its selfish and pompous. You didnt ask to be born. your not gods gift upon the earth for the non beleivers. In fact your beleifs are ruining america as i know it.
And For the athiest just because all these religions are clearly ridiculous doesnt mean that there isnt something great at work in the scheme of things. Im not saying there is but, i dont deny the possibility. In order for me to further explain my findings it would require much more space than this. However i appreciate you athiests far more than the religious fanatic.

Cant we all just leave our differences behind us. and for those interested i am starting the revolution.

Let´s follow logic...
The universe is all there is, nothing can exist beyond it. It´s not like empty space that can be filled, not even by pure thought, or pure energy... There´s NOTHING... No time,no space, no dimension. It´s total nonexistence. So either a) god was born with the universe and is thus 1) not eternal but is about 13 to 14 billion years old and 2) has not created the universe. Another angle would be that he created the universe standing in another universe but then we fall back on point a) in this older universe. It´s a vicious circle. God must exist before creating anything and he cannot exist without a spacetime continuum.
Don´t take my word for it, check the laws of physics...
Your thoughts?...

Hypothetical: Bible's wrong, God lost a bet to Satan and lost his soul, so Satan controls everything. Would you obey Satan? If not he will torture God big time and make baby Jesus cry.
