The Earth's population is growing (not to mention lots do not believe in reincarnation). So is God constantly 'making' new souls?

My belief is that the soul is another manmade idea, much like God himself. Society has created these things to comfort our collectively fragile psyche.

As a human being we were given a brain yet few wish to use it. It seems they are more willing to follow what others are saying about the war, and religion. Instead of researching for the answers. Someone asked the question what did non-muslims think of Islam and there were so many typical answers and I am sure the ones answering never even looked at the Qu'ran or even talked to a Muslim to understand there religion. Yet when one Muslim commits one crime they are all condemned yet if a Chrisitan is a serial murder do we assume all Christians are this? Do we judge all Jews, and Christians based on the actions of one as we do Muslims... WHY NOT? Please if just half of the people that read this could do a bit of research on what is going on in the world and find the truth and make an opinon not based on others but make your own decision maybe our country the USA would not be runned at this time by a Man with his own agenda in hand. That is killing America and its sons and daughters.

I am asking a question about the nature of God. Why make hell a place of torment, like christians believe? Even in our system of justice, WE AMERICANS DO NOT TORTURE CRIMINALS. Our government is founded upon a belief on God, but we just put people in prisons for their punishment. TORTURE IS CONSIDERED IN-HUMANE. Is it arrogant of me to ask my Father in Heaven, "Why would you make the punishment so cruel?"

This is my last question, and almost every person who answered it could not admit this, and some were just downright rude for even questioning the validity of those beliefs. Why is it so hard for some to admit that their personal beliefs may be, and probably are, incorrect, or incomplete at best.

Do they assume I have not read it enough to be able to defend myself?

Or that I'll come to the same conclusion they did if I keep reading it?

Do they assume that I don't use a commentary (for literary/histroical perspective)?

Do they assume that my religion doesn't defend my interpretation?

See my questions...

I'm a muslim and I find it so strange that some people think that all muslims are terrorists or freaks or whaterver.I mean how can this make any sense to you.Do you really think that EVERY single muslim on this planet is bad?cuz every spot in the world has it's good people and it's bad people.what I'm trying to say is that these terrorists you see in the media are only the few bad people in the islamic community!they don't make up our entire population.

I was wondering if the Koran has an equivalent passage to love as to the Bible's 1 Corinthian 13 and what the verse(s) is(are).

Also, if you know of any other religions with that have similar passages about love in their scriptures please let me know.

as I have seen the word Christian defined here on Yahoo Answers as Christlike, wouldn't Gandhi have been a Christian by proxy? How about the Dalai Lama? Just wondering.

Would God forgive you if you couldn't help but hate child molesters (the current in-vogue worst thing in the world). Would God forgive me if I couldn't help but hate him for giving children cancer? Or for drowning all the children in the world? Or for burning unborn babies in Sodom and Gomorrah?

God is omnipresent, which means He is everywhere. If He is everywhere, He's also present in Hell.

God is Love, and He is also present in Hell. Which means there is Love in Hell.

Hell is described as the absence of God, but God is omnipresent so Hell can't be the absence of God.

It doesn't matter what the name of your chosen sky daddy, the mere fact that you are gullible enough to listen to religious rubbish means that you are part of the problem.

PS: I am having to re-ask this question because the intolerant reported it!

It seems like if your doctor has to go to years of school and pass MCATs, the president of the US should have to have some minimum qualification certificate. One question, for instance, should be "what is the origin of the human species?" Or maybe "do you have any imaginary friends?" if essay questions are not your fortay.

I am sincerely appalled when fundamentalists get out of their seat and make fun of the Catholics (or, for that matter, any other religions). Fundamentalists' beliefs are just as silly as everyone else's, you know. And maybe when God spoke, He did it so fast that the transcriber didn't get His every word during the making of the Bible. Therefore, to do only as the Bible says is just a misguided method.
