Huh -- this is an interesting question. Because it is said that in Hell, you are no longer able to pray to God -- that God cannot and doesn't hear your prayers. That's supposed to be one of the downsides. If God can't hear your prayers than he can't be there -- and if God isn't also present in Hell than he isn't really omnipresent is he?

No, the definition of hell according to the greek translation is that hell is a place completely absent of God. That is why when Jesus died on the cross and went to the lake of fire, God had to turn his back on Jesus for the 3 days.

God CAN be anywhere he choses and the bible is clear that God choses were he is. Part of Cain's punishment was that he was sent away from the presence of God. meaning, that there are places in which God does not dweal. Also, Sin seperates us from God. And the correct translation for hell that you are using is really the grave or garbage pit. God is the God of the living, not of the dead. God is not in hell.

This question is much too ambiguous to answer with "yes" or "no." I believe it may really depend on the definition of "god" that you are using. Determine this and you will find your answer much quicker. It would seem that the question implies a christian god. If it is, than we will have many different answers as you do already.

The idea is that Hell is just a place where our conscience faces its own retribution, its own judgment.

Another form of love; God is there in that darkness to remind you to go back to the Light.

Hell is a spiritual place. It doesn't have a location as we think of it. Things of the spirit are imperishable(sp?), they will never fall away as heaven and earth will. It's hard to think of, but you just have to trust what God say. We'll never entirely understand all of it until we leave this physical universe.
That's a good question; though, had to think about it for a little bit. I say no; though, God is not in hell.
