"God does not give children cancer, the devil does." True?

It might not even be damaged DNA it might have to do with susceptibility to a virus. Many people with a child that gets seriously sick want to blame someone, anyone. I don't blame them for that at all. Many times this anger is directed at God. I am sure God knows the suffering and pain that leads a person to blame Him. The true culprit here isn't the Devil, isn't God, it's man. Our sin brought terrible things into the world. We are subject to death pain trial and tribulation through no ones fault but our own. ...Jim

If it's the Devil causing cancer, then that must mean that the Devil's power is greater than God's, since God is unable to stop him!

And if God IS capable of stopping the Devil, then he is deliberately choosing not to....so yes, you can thank God for all those poor children wasting away in the cancer ward of your local children's hospital....God is infinitely merciful and compassionate, which is why he's murdering all those little children, and torturing the non-Christian ones in a lake of fire forever and ever....

One of the needs of gaining eternal Life is gaining a body. Even if it for only a Moment. The ones who die shortly after birth are the purest souls. They will be in the highest level of eternity. So if some say this is only created by religions to comfort the ones who lost the child is it really that wrong? Would it be better to wonder why or blame something unknown for the rest of your life or beleive in devine choice and be able to continue on in life?

but children don't only have cancer - they have AIDS, HIV, or any other diseases and accidents that cause children to die. why?
according to buddhism, people are born for a reason - perhaps the parents owe their child in their past lives, and the child is here to take that back (their time/money/love), and once that's done, it's time for the child to go

We, men pollute the earth, therefore we cause deceases. The devil does cause turmoil, but we also don't listen to what God said about his health laws.

OK. i'm an athiest so i'll say it from my point of view. There arent many ways to prevent it but people dont cause it. Sometimes it is genetic, sometimes it is from not caring for yourself, and sometimes it "just happens". But, yes it can be damaged dna too.

Okay, Here you are with whatever sin you have committed under your belt and it is eating away at your conscience ( as it should ). We must go to God in faith and ask for that forgiveness which He promises us.
Here comes the hard part. Now we have to go about forgiving ourselves when the pangs of guilt surround us because of the consequences involved as a result of the sin. Sometimes these consequences will last a lifetime, which makes forgiving yourself even more important and difficult.
We must resolve not to repeat the sin. Also you must remember there is a difference between a sin and a mistake. In either case, hopefully you have learned a lesson. You must, in confidence/faith know that God forgives you because He says that we must ask in supplicating prayer for what we need ( in this case,forgiveness ) and then be confident because of your faith that He will perfrm your requests.
Remember that king David was a man after God's own heart. Then think about the atrocities which happened in king David's life. The reason he was a man after God's own heart,was because of his ability to instantly repent and not to commit the same sin again. He learned by his mistakes and went about to continue in the service of God, which means he forgave himself.
Not forgiving yourself is spiritually deblilitating. You cannot move forward and as a result you become spiritually stagnant. It keeps you from growing. You begin to wallow in the mire of self pity.'Accept your responsibility in the sin, seek God's forgiveness as you repent and then move forward making whatever adjustments you need to become more like the Being Who gave His all so you could have forgiveness and that peace which passes all understanding.

there are actual people on yahoo answers who i have talked to who believe that satan is the cause of disease

i actually researched the bible and found out god gave it, something in exodus chapter 4, basically god was saying "I GAVE THAT TO YOU",

it made the believer i asked about - it made his head spin,

he gave the apologetics bull sh(t answer


my son has a disease called histiocytosis

medical science teaches this is some immune thing, cause of the histio's in his blood or whatever
kid had a tumor removed from his face in february

anyway,

so all these god people,

i asked them in emails and ims and in yahoo answers questions,

to tell me that they honestly felt that satan gave my son, an innocent 3 year old child, who was 2 at the time, who played with trucks and cars and trains,

that satan did this to my son because of some sin,

of course there were the dumb a000 who just don't know me as a regular and dont read details and they said satan causes diseases isiah 38 verse whatever

but everyone of those regulars who i talked to,

they had to rethink what they believed

im not sure i changed anyones belief in god,

but i certainly hope that i made them consider who they tell that to, that satan made people have disease

some say its a test of faith from god

well god, if you are out there, i spend 2 to 3 hours a day making fun of you and your followers on yahoo answers,
