I wonder sometimes if faith based scrutiny of others is just deflection of anyone noticing the personal flaws of the perpetrator

Since getting every species of animal in the world into Noah's ark is impossible unless god magically used his powers to do it, and god could also flood the world at will, what did he need Noah for?

Why bother making Noah build an ark, collect every animal, magically make them all fit in an ark and somehow feed the carnivores without killing any of the other animals?

Why wouldn't god have cut out the middleman and moved the animals out of the way while flooding the earth? If he could perform miracles and transport matter, moving the animals should have been a piece of cake.

Oh, that's right, nothing about this story makes any sense. And it was plagiarized from the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Well, I really enjoy their music and their references to mythology and deep concepts. They aren't necessarily christian though. What about Rush, they seem to sing alot about loving nature and knowledge hidden in mythological stories. It woul be a a shame if I could never hear their magical words of wisdom in an environment that is suppose to be the ultimate place of understanding, comfort and enjoyment.
It's no secret that they may have mystic beliefs but I still understand Jesus' teachings.
What am I to do?

The first guy was raised Christian and always believed in jesus, and attended church every now and then. He has always strived to be a nice person and help other people. He has never lied, stole, or hurt anyone else, in fact he has always worked hard to help those who were in need and was the model citizen. He is Gay.The second guy is Hitler. Do you honestly believe that they will both burn in hell for eternity? What if guy #1 was Buddhist,Pagan,Hindu? And no they did not as "Jesus" for forgiveness before they die.

I'm not entirely familiar with the religious references in these lyrics.

They were written by Paul Draper (of Mansun) who was taught Catholic teachings as a child and I believe he rebeled from it.

What do you believe he is talking about in these lyrics?

(Hold on a second. Will Post the lyrics as added detail.

Explain the tasks of literary, redaction, and source criticism.

This is what I have so far I don't know if I'm way off base or what.......

When analyzing the books of the bible it is customary to have to looks at how it is written, who it is written by and where they received their information. That is where literary, redaction and source criticism comes in. in order to find out this information one must be able to verify the source, time, and text to determine its authenticity.

Quoting Genesis 1:2

Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

now here we see that the spirit belongs to god. I presume many Christian would concede god here is refering to the father. so if the spirit belongs to the father why then is it a god.

Could a godhead belong to another godhead?

I ask this because those who believe in Christianity say that their Bible was God inspired and so it is true. But since I never met the authors I don't have anything but their word that this is true.

They could and would say that because in Matthew this and Mark that it says blah blah blah about yackity shmackity and so that makes it true. And they would and could say that the Bible has many events that have been historically been proved to have occurred.

I am not saying the authors didn't exist.I am saying that what they write about may OR may not have existed. Before you answer this question maybe you should grasp that.

we were born as human and have got manythings..life, air, sun, mountains, sky, happiness, sadness, success, failures, hope and dreams.....so with all those graces...we shouldn't misused them with sins (which most of them give funs for human; gambling, free sex etc)

with the statements above, do you agree that our life should have given for the submission to the creator (God), if you believe in God, only one God.??

Not talking about college degrees or better 40 1K plans, I mean, what are you, as a human...seperate from the ties of the world, hungry for in your soul? What are you doing to attain it? Are you stuck in a rut doing the same old things, or are you actively seeking it?

For me, it is simply peace. I have changed my whole life around. Instead of being quick to judge others, I mentally put myself in their shoes. This one simple action has given me immense peace, and taught me to understand people. I pray a lot, and I meditate. I have actually healed myself this way from various things, through God's grace.
