I can totally see your point, but look at the fall of the Roman empire, such things were happening in that day also, these things have been going on since time began and that is why we expect the end tomorrow and live accordingly, but still plan for the future. there have been others that said, tomorrow is the return of the Lord and got rid of everything only to still be here today.

It's interesting that the just a few verses later, Apostle Paul mentions that it would be futile to try to convince certain people of the truth. Still, true Christians cannot stop trying!
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
(Matthew 28:19) Go therefore and make disciples
(Luke 10:1-17) [Jesus said] Beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest…he that disregards you disregards me too

This is the time the bible calls the latter days. The fig tree is Israel has been reborn and back in their own land after over 14,000 years being scattered across the earth. The signs of the natural disasters-floods,earthquakes, tsunamis and many others.
The EU is that ten world govt mentioned in the New Testament and the Antichrist will arrive soon to deceive the world. Jesus will call the faith both alive and dead to heaven before the Great Tribulation beings for seven years of hell on earth.

Amen. Some things on here are just demonic. I just turned 13, 9 days ago, and half the stuff I see is R-rated. It's really sad how many sick people there are

¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away
