It depends on what your intentions are - if they are to hurt yourself because you feel bad, or because you think you deserve punishment, or something - then yes.

Well i have my nose, navel, and tongue pierced along with a bunch on the ears and some tattoos and consider it art and not mutilations. But then I am Pagan and it fits in my beliefs. If it isn't in your beliefs don't do it. If you are asking this many questions about it you have some doubts anyway.

Anything other than the ear is self-mutilation. Of course, I recognize that there's a whole lot of folks who like to mutilate themselves. That's their thing, not mine..

According to the bible it is a sin for a man to have one even in his ear, no to tattoos as well. Women can do whatever they want, because the bible says they are just property and are not for heaven anyhow.
